Remote Control Instructions

The remote control is designed for intuitive operation of the drone. It features a power indicator and a power switch.

Control Stick Functions:

  • Left Control Stick: Controls ascent/descent (push up/down) and yaw rotation (turn left/right).
  • Right Control Stick: Controls forward/backward movement (push forward/backward) and lateral movement (fly left/right).

Buttons and Modes:

  • One Key Return / Headless Mode: A long press on a dedicated button initiates a one-key return, while a short press activates/deactivates Headless Mode.
  • Fine-Tuning: Buttons for left, right, forward, and backward fine-tuning allow for precise adjustments to the drone's flight path.
  • One Key Take-off / One Key Landing: Dedicated buttons for automated takeoff and landing.
  • Emergency Stop / Flip: A long press on a button acts as an emergency stop, while a short press initiates a 360-degree flip.
  • Speed Control: Options for fast and slow flight speeds (1, 2, 3).

Controller Battery Installation

The controller requires 3 AA batteries.

Instructions: Open the battery cover on the back of the controller. Insert 3 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity by matching the '+' and '-' signs as indicated in the diagram.

Diagram Description: Shows the back of the controller with the battery compartment open, illustrating the placement of three AA batteries with correct polarity.

Drone Battery Charging

Warning: Lithium batteries can be hazardous. Handle with care. If a battery leaks, wash affected skin thoroughly and seek medical attention for eye contact.

If the battery or charger emits smoke during charging, immediately disconnect the battery from the power source.

Charging Guidelines:

  • Use only the original charging device.
  • Do not use a damaged charging device.
  • Do not modify the charging cable.
  • Do not use swollen, leaking, or damaged batteries.
  • Remove the battery from the charger once fully charged.
  • Charge the battery only in the presence of adults.
  • Charge the battery on a non-flammable surface.
  • Allow the battery to cool down after use before charging.
  • The manufacturer, distributor, and seller are not liable for damages resulting from failure to follow safety instructions and warnings.

To charge the drone battery:

  1. Remove the battery from the drone.
  2. Connect the charging cable to the battery.
  3. Connect the USB connector to a computer or laptop.

Charging time is approximately 180 minutes.

Propeller Guards and Replacement

Four propeller guards are included for indoor flights to protect the propellers.

Propeller Replacement: If a propeller is damaged, replace it with a spare. The drone comes with two types of spare propellers, labeled 'A' and 'B'. Ensure correct installation according to the labels. Incorrect replacement will lead to improper drone control.

Diagram Description: Illustrates the drone with propellers attached. Two types of propellers, A and B, are shown, along with a close-up of a propeller hub indicating where a guard attaches. Arrows show the correct placement for propeller types A and B.

Drone Preparation and Flight

Steps to Prepare and Fly:

  1. Turn on the drone by briefly pressing the power button on the drone.
  2. Turn on the controller using its power button.
  3. Connect the controller to the drone by moving the left stick up and then down to confirm the connection.
  4. Position yourself behind the drone, facing the direction you intend to fly.
  5. Calibrate the drone by moving the left stick to the bottom-left corner and the right stick to the bottom-right corner simultaneously.

Basic Flight Controls:

  • Ascent/Descent & Yaw: Use the left control stick. Push it up to ascend and down to descend. Push it left or right to rotate the drone on its axis (yaw).
  • Forward/Backward & Lateral Movement: Use the right control stick. Push it forward to move the drone forward, backward to move it backward, left to move it left, and right to move it right.

Flight Modes and Maneuvers

Headless Mode: This mode simplifies flying by removing the need to orient the drone's front and back. Press the headless mode button to activate or deactivate it. In this mode, directional controls are relative to the pilot's perspective. For example, pushing the right stick right moves the drone to the pilot's right, regardless of the drone's actual orientation. The controller will beep periodically when headless mode is active.

360-Degree Flips: The drone can perform 360-degree flips. To execute a flip, press the dedicated 360 button and then use the right control stick to select the direction of the flip.

Diagram Description: Shows the drone performing a 360-degree flip, with rotational arrows indicating the movement. The controller is shown with the 360 button highlighted.

Connecting the Drone to a Phone

You can connect your drone to your smartphone via Wi-Fi to view a live video feed.

Steps:

  1. Find the drone's Wi-Fi network name (it does not require a password).
  2. Install the required application on your phone. Search for "WIFI_CAM" in the APP STORE or PLAYSTORE, or scan the QR code provided.
  3. Once connected via Wi-Fi, open the app and tap "Start" to view the live camera feed from the drone.

Diagram Description: A QR code is displayed, which is used to download the "WIFI_CAM" application.

Emergency Stop

EMERGENCY STOP!!! IMPORTANT !!!

In critical situations, an emergency stop can be activated by pressing and holding the emergency stop button (also used for 360-degree flips). This will immediately stop the drone's motors, causing it to fall.

The drone is also equipped with an automatic emergency stop feature. If the drone tilts more than 45 degrees (e.g., due to strong winds), it will automatically stop to prevent damage.
