Installation Steps

Follow these steps carefully for luminaires with conventional electromagnetic ballasts (KVG/VVG):

  1. Turn off the power supply. [⚡️ OFF]
  2. Remove the existing fluorescent lamp. [?➡️]
  3. Remove the existing starter. [⚙️➡️]
  4. Insert the EMP replacement starter. [⚙️➡️?]
  5. Install the Philips LEDtube with the light opening facing downwards. [?⬇️]
  6. Turn on the power supply. [⚡️ ON]

Note: For luminaires with conventional electromagnetic ballasts (KVG/VVG), only the starter needs to be replaced. No other modifications to the luminaire are required.

For luminaires with electronic ballasts (EVG), this LEDtube is not compatible.

For luminaires with a capacitor installed in parallel with the ballast or in the same circuit: remove the capacitor if it is in parallel with the ballast, or short the capacitor if it is in the same circuit.

Alternatively, for some systems, a blanking plug may be installed instead of the starter.
