How to Use the System - Panel
Status Indicator: Shows the operational status of the device.

Operating the Touch Screen*
Screen gestures
- Tap: Select or confirm a menu item.
- Flick: Scroll through lists or pages.
- Drag: Move scroll bars or documents.
- Pan: Move displayed images.
Displaying the keypad
Tap the numerals or the input area to display the keypad. The keypad can be moved by touching its upper side and dragging it to another position.

Touch screen - Home
Copy: Accesses the copy function.
Quick Copy: Initiates a quick copy process.
Scan to Email: Opens the scan-to-email interface.
Web: Accesses web browsing capabilities.

Basic Copy Functions - Make a Copy
- Position the original(s): Place documents on the scanner glass or in the ADF.
- Tap Copy or Quick Copy on the home screen: Select the desired copy function.
- Set copy options as needed: Adjust settings like paper, density, duplex, etc.
- Tap Start: Begin the copying process.
Zoom
1. Position the original(s).
2. Tap Copy on the home screen.
3. Tap Zoom.
4. Tap Other paper sizes.
5. Make the desired settings.
6. Tap OK.
7. Tap Start.
Zoom options include: Automatically reduce/enlarge original size to paper size, preset zoom values, and manual zoom adjustment (25.0% - 400.0%).
Copy Operations - Basic Copy Screen/Quick Copy Screen*
Set current settings as default/Return settings to factory default: Options to save or reset configurations.
Scroll bar: Used for navigating through options.
Copies: Specify the number of copies.
Number of copy sets: Enter the desired quantity.
Paper: Select paper size and type.
Density: Adjust the brightness/darkness of the copy.
Duplex Settings: Configure single-sided or double-sided copying.
Group/Sort: Organize copies into sets.
Separate Scan: Scan originals individually.
Return to home screen / Reset: Navigate back or reset settings.
Stop: Halt the current operation.
Start: Initiate the copy job.

Duplex Settings
- Position the original(s).
- Tap Copy on the home screen.
- Tap Duplex Settings.
- Tap [selection].
- Make the desired settings.
- Tap OK.
- Tap Start.
Options include: Original binding position (Auto, Front, Back) and Output binding direction (Auto, Front, Back).
Scan Operations - Settings*
View scan destinations as buttons or as list: Choose display format for destinations.
Original > Copy: Settings related to original scanning and copying.
2-Sided 2-Sided: Configure duplex scanning and copying.
Org. Binding Pos.: Specify original binding position.
Output Bind Dir.: Specify output binding direction.
Original Direction: Select original orientation.
Reset: Reset current settings.
Cancel: Cancel the operation.
OK: Confirm selection.
Stop: Halt the operation.
Start: Begin the scan operation.

Scan to e-mail (Direct input)
- Position the original(s).
- Tap Scan to Email on the home screen.
- Tap +.
- Enter the destination address.
- Tap OK.
- Specify settings as needed.
- Tap Start. The file is sent.
Save file on a PC
- Position the original(s).
- Tap Scan to PC on the home screen.
- Select the desired destination.
- Specify settings as needed.
- Tap Start. The file is saved.
Sending data to multiple destinations/using the address book
- Position the original(s).
- Tap Scan to Email, Scan to Box or Scan to PC.
- Select the destination tab.
- Specify two or more destinations or specify a group.
- Tap OK.
- Tap Start. The file is sent.
Search for a destination (address book)
- Position the original(s).
- Tap Scan to Email, Scan to Box or Scan to PC.
- Select the search tab.
- Select Name Search, Address Search or Search Box No.
- Enter the search text and tap Search.
- Specify the target destination from the search result.
- Tap Start. The file is sent.
Register a destination (address book)
- Tap Utility on the home screen.
- Tap Utility > Store Address > Address Book.
- Tap New Registration.
- Select the type of destination you want to register.
- Enter the destination information and tap OK.
Save file in a user box
- Position the original(s).
- Tap Scan to Box on the home screen.
- Select the desired user box.
- Specify settings as needed.
- Tap Start. The file is saved.
Create a user box
- Tap Utility on the home screen.
- Tap Utility > Box > User Box List.
- Tap New Registration.
- Enter the destination information and tap OK.
User boxes can be used for printing, sending, etc. You can also assign a password.
Print from USB memory
- Position the original(s).
- Plug the USB memory device into the USB port.
- Tap USB Mem. Print on the home screen.
- Select the desired file.
- Specify settings as needed (Copies, Paper, Combination, Duplex Settings).
- Tap Start. The file is printed.
Fax operations - Send a fax (direct input)*
- Position the original(s).
- Tap Fax on the home screen.
- Tap the direct input tab.
- Enter the fax number.
- Tap OK.
- Specify settings as needed (e.g., Resolution, Duplex Settings).
- Tap Start. The file is sent.
*Only with fax option.
