How to Use the System - Panel
Status Indicator: Shows the operational status of the device.
Touch Panel: The main interface for interacting with the system.
Keypad KP-102 (option): An optional physical keypad for input.
Power Indicator: Shows the power status.
Energy Save Mode On/Off: Toggles energy-saving mode.
Reset the Settings: Resets system settings.
Stop a Process: Halts the current operation.
Start a Process: Initiates an operation.
Touch Screen - Home: The main screen of the touch interface.
- User ID (shown when menu is open): Displays the logged-in user's ID.
- Login/Logout: Access user authentication.
- Display active or standby jobs: View current and waiting tasks.
- Configure settings/display use status: Adjust system settings and view usage.
- Check warnings or notices: View system alerts.
- Change display language (temporarily): Switch the display language.
- Check device information: Access details about the machine.
- Customize home screen: Personalize the home screen layout.
- Display a message: View system messages.
- Open/close menu: Access the system menu.
Shortcut Key Area*: Customizable shortcuts for frequently used functions.
Page Indicator: Shows the current page number.

Operating the Touch Screen
Screen Gestures
- Tap: To select or determine a menu item.
- Flick: To scroll through lists or pages.
- Drag: To move a scroll bar or document.
- Pan: To move a displayed image.
Displaying the Keypad
Tap the numerals or the input area to display the keypad. If the system is equipped with the optional hardware keypad KP-102, it can be used instead.
Moving the Keypad
Touch the upper side of the keypad and drag it to another display position.

Basic Copy Functions - Make a Copy
- Position the original(s).
- Tap Copy or Quick Copy on the home screen.
- Set copy options as needed.
- Tap Start.
Zoom
- Position the original(s).
- Tap Copy on the home screen.
- Tap Zoom.
- Tap Other paper sizes.
- Make the desired settings.
- Tap OK.
- Tap Start.
Zoom Functionality: Automatically reduce/enlarge original size to paper size, or change zoom manually. Preset zoom values are available.
Copy Operations - Basic Copy Screen/Quick Copy Screen
Set current settings as default/Return settings to factory default: Options to manage default settings.
Scroll bar: Used for navigating through lists.
Select further settings: Access additional copy options.
Enter number of copy sets: Specify the quantity of copies.
Specify copy settings: Configure various copy parameters.
Return to home screen: Navigate back to the main menu.
Login/Logout: User authentication.
Return settings to default: Revert settings to factory defaults.
Start a copy job: Initiate the copying process.
Stop a copy job: Cancel an ongoing copy job.
Settings Descriptions

Staple | Staple the copied sheets/Select the binding position and the orientation of the original. |
Punch | Punch the copied sheets/Select the punching position and the orientation of the original. |
Group/Sort | Feed out copy sets separately by set or page. |
Separate Scan | Scan a large number of originals in several batches/scan originals using both ADF and original glass. |
Original Type | Select the image quality level of the original. |
Combine | Copy multiple pages on a single sheet. |
Original Direction | Select orientation of the original loaded into ADF or placed on the original glass. |
Mixed Original | Scan originals of different sizes. |
Thin Paper Original | Adapt the original feed speed to thin originals. |
Z-Folded Original | Adapt the size detection of folded originals in the ADF. |
Multi-Feed Detection | Prevent scanning errors. |
Blank Page Removal | Skip blank pages. |
Original Size | Specify the size of the original when it is not detected correctly. |
Automatic Image Rotation | Rotate the original image according to paper direction (switched on as default). |

Duplex Settings
- Position the original(s).
- Tap Copy on the home screen.
- Tap Duplex Settings.
- Tap the desired option.
- Make the desired settings.
- Tap OK.
- Tap Start.
Duplex Functionality: Select 1-sided or 2-sided scanning and copying. Specify the binding position of the original and the copies.
Scan Operations - Settings
View scan destinations as buttons or as list: Choose how scan destinations are displayed.
Setting:
- Color: Select the scan color mode (Full Color, Black & White).
- Scan Size: Specify the original size.
- Resolution: Specify the scan resolution.
- File Type: Specify the file type for saving.
- Duplex Settings: Specify 1-sided or 2-sided scanning.
- Document Name/Subject/Other: Change the file name, e-mail subject, or message text.
Advanced Scan Settings:
- Separate Scan: Scan a large number of originals in several batches or using both ADF and original glass.
- Mixed Original: Scan originals of different sizes.
- Thin Paper Original: Adapt the original feed speed to thin originals.
- Z-Folded Original: Adapt the size detection of folded originals in the ADF.
- Multi-Feed Detection: Prevent scanning errors.
- Blank Page Removal: Skip blank pages.
- Original Direction: Select orientation of the original loaded into ADF or placed on the original glass.
- Original Type: Select the image quality level of the original.
- Density: Adjust the scan brightness.
- Background Removal: Adjust the background brightness (e.g., for originals with colored backgrounds).

Scan to E-mail (Direct Input)
- Position the original(s).
- Tap Scan to Email on the home screen.
- Tap '+'.
- Enter the destination address.
- Tap OK.
- Specify settings as needed.
- Tap Start. The file is sent.
Save File on a PC
- Position the original(s).
- Tap Scan to PC on the home screen.
- Select the desired destination.
- Specify settings as needed.
- Tap Start. The file is saved.
Sending Data to Multiple Destinations/Using the Address Book
- Position the original(s).
- Tap Scan to Email, Scan to Box, or Scan to PC.
- Select the destination tab.
- Specify two or more destinations or a group.
- Tap OK.
- Tap Start. The file is sent.
Search for a Destination (Address Book)
- Position the original(s).
- Tap Scan to Email, Scan to Box, or Scan to PC.
- Select the search tab.
- Select Name Search, Address Search, or Search Box No.
- Enter the search text and tap Search.
- Specify the target destination from the search result.
- Tap Start. The file is sent.
Register a Destination (Address Book)
- Tap Utility on the home screen.
- Tap Utility > Store Address > Address Book.
- Tap New Registration.
- Select the type of destination you want to register.
- Enter the destination information and tap OK.
Save File in a User Box
- Position the original(s).
- Tap Scan to Box on the home screen.
- Select the desired user box.
- Specify settings as needed.
- Tap Start. The file is saved.
Create a User Box
- Tap Utility on the home screen.
- Tap Utility > Box > User Box List.
- Tap New Registration.
- Enter the destination information and tap OK.
Print from USB Memory
- Position the original(s).
- Plug the USB memory device into the USB port.
- Tap USB Mem. Print on the home screen.
- Select the desired file.
- Specify settings as needed.
- Tap Start. The file is printed.
Fax Operations - Send a Fax (Direct Input)
*Only with fax option.
- Position the original(s).
- Tap Fax on the home screen.
- Tap the direct input tab.
- Enter the fax number.
- Tap OK.
- Specify settings as needed.
- Tap Start. The file is sent.
