Turn Cooling On/Off
Your refrigerator and freezer will not cool when cooling is turned off. To turn cooling off, press and hold the Lock and Measured Fill buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. "Refrigeration Cooling Is Off" will appear on the display. To turn cooling back on, press and hold Lock and Measured Fill for 3 seconds again.
IMPORTANT: Press both buttons at the same time to avoid unintentionally locking the dispenser or changing other settings.
Fast Ice
The Fast Ice feature increases ice production over a 24-hour period for periods of heavy ice use. To turn it on, press Options then Temp. The Fast Ice icon will appear on the display. The feature remains on for 24 hours or until manually turned off by pressing Options then Temp again, or by adjusting the freezer temperature set point.
IMPORTANT: This feature only works if the ice maker is turned on. Refer to the Owner's Manual for "Ice Maker and Storage Bin".
NOTE: For continuous increased ice production, set the freezer to a colder temperature. This may make some foods, like ice cream, harder.
Dispenser Light
The dispenser lights turn on automatically when the dispenser is used. You can set them to be continuously ON, DIM, or only the PAD lights ON (Pads). To turn off all dispenser lights, press Light four times.
- ON: Press Light to turn on all dispenser lights.
- DIM: Press Light a second time for dimmed lights.
- PADS: Press Light a third time for only dispenser pad lighting.
- OFF: Press Light a fourth time to turn off all lights.
The dispenser lights are non-replaceable LEDs. Refer to online "Troubleshooting" if they appear not to be working.
Dispenser Lock
The dispenser can be turned off for cleaning or to prevent accidental dispensing. Press and hold Lock for 3 seconds to lock the dispenser. Press and hold Lock again to unlock. The display indicates when the dispenser is locked.
NOTE: The lock feature deactivates controls and the dispenser lever but does not shut off power to the refrigerator, ice maker, or dispenser light.
Door Ajar Alarm
An alarm sounds if a refrigerator or freezer door is open for 5 minutes while cooling is on. The alarm repeats every 2 minutes. Close both doors to silence it. The feature resets and will reactivate if a door is left open for 5 minutes again.
NOTE: To mute the alarm temporarily while keeping doors open (e.g., for cleaning), press any button on the control panel. The Door Ajar icon will remain displayed.

To turn off all control and dispenser sounds, press the Options button to enter Options mode, then press Options again. To turn sounds back on, repeat the process.
