The Honeywell BW™ RigRat is an easy-to-use, transportable multi-gas area monitor designed for confidence and safety. It alerts workers to gas threats in their proximity, both indoors and outdoors, across a wide temperature range of -40 to +140°F (-40 to +60°C). The RigRat offers:
- Up to 8 weeks of runtime on a single charge, providing longer operation than comparable area monitors.
- Up to six slots for interchangeable gas sensors, supporting electrochemical, PID, infrared, and catalytic bead sensors for measuring percent LEL and percent by volume.
- Integrated Noise sensor and Metrological data sensors for comprehensive environmental monitoring.
- Enhanced configurations with programmable input and output for flexible integration.
- Approval for explosive atmospheres, certified for ATEX/IECEx Zone 0 and CSA C1D1.
- Added protection by alerting workers to nearby gas leaks, extending beyond the personal detector's coverage of only the breathing zone.
Flexible Applications:
Suitable for zone declassification, turnarounds, confined space entry, routine maintenance, fence line monitoring, and more. Available with an optional pump for remote sampling.
One-Button Operation:
Designed for grab-and-go simplicity, requiring no special expertise.
