2 Product Description
The following contains important information to help you familiarize with the functions of the Analog phone.
Front View
The front of the Analog DECT Phone displays the AEI Communications logo and contact details. Below this are dedicated service buttons for hotel functions such as IN-ROOM DINING, GUEST SERVICES, HOUSEKEEPING, CONCIERGE, DINNER, SPA, and SALON. The central area features an alphanumeric keypad (0-9, *, #) for dialing numbers. Below the keypad are function keys including LINE 1, LINE 2, MESSAGE, HOLD, VOLUME UP/DOWN, and SPEAKER. Dialing instructions are provided for Room to Room calls (1 + Room Number), Local Calls (9 + Number), National Calls (9 + Area Code + Number), and International Calls (9 + Country Code + City Code + Number).

Back View
The back of the phone base unit shows two ports: a DC 5V power input jack for the AC adapter and a PSTN line port for connecting to the telephone network.
Connecting the Phone
To connect the phone, plug the DC power adapter into the DC Power jack on the back of the phone and then into a power outlet. Connect the phone line cable to the PSTN line port on the back of the phone and then to the wall telephone jack.
Stand Installation
The phone includes a stand that can be attached to the base unit for upright placement on a desk or surface.
3 Operation
Answering a Call
An incoming call is indicated by a ringing tone and a flashing indicator light. To answer a call, either pick up the handset or press the LINE (LINE1/LINE2) key.
Making a Call
Dialing with the Keypad
Enter the telephone number using the alphanumeric keypad. After entering the number, press the '#' key to force dialing, or wait approximately 4 seconds for automatic dialing.
Using the Programmable Services Keys
These keys are pre-assigned hotkeys for commonly dialed numbers. Pressing a service hotkey initiates a call to the associated number automatically.
Call Options
While a call is in progress, additional options are available.
Using the Speaker Phone
For hands-free operation, press the SPEAKER key on the phone to enable the speakerphone function. Press the SPEAKER key again to terminate the call.
Putting a Call on Hold
To put a call on hold, press the HOLD key. If a second call is received, pressing the next available LINE key will automatically put the first call on hold.
Checking Voice Messages
A red light on the MESSAGE key indicates one or more new messages in the voicemail box. Press the MESSAGE key to retrieve voice messages.
