Operation
General Warnings
Warning: Do not use this product to defrost frozen food. All food must be completely defrosted before cooking it in this product.
Always use heat-proof mitts or gloves and touch only the handle.
Changing Plates
Allow the device to cool down completely before assembling or disassembling the plates. To remove plates: Open the device, slide the plates release button, and remove the plates. To insert plates: Select the desired plate, clip it into position, and carefully press it down until it clicks into position.
Preheating
Pour a teaspoon of vegetable oil onto the non-stick plates. Use a paper towel to spread the oil on the plates and then wipe off any excess. Close the appliance during the preheating process. The power indicator light will be on, and the ready green light indicator will remain off while the appliance preheats. Prepare your sandwich, grill items, or waffle mixture while it preheats. After approximately 5 minutes, the ready green light indicator will turn on, indicating the appliance is ready for use.
Cooking
Pour or place the ingredients to be cooked directly on the lower non-stick plate. Close the device and use the lock to fasten the handles. Do not open it during the cooking process. Food will be ready in approximately 4-5 minutes. You may cook food for longer according to your preferences. Once food is ready, open the lid and remove it using a plastic or wooden spatula. Warning: Do not use metal knives or objects, as this may cause damage to the non-stick plates.
Notes
During the cooking process, the upper part of the device may slightly bulge.
Avoid using synthetic or low-fat spreads as they tend to overheat at lower temperatures and form dark brown deposits which could stick to the non-stick plates.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Clean the appliance when it is slightly warm. Wipe the cooking plates with a soft cloth to remove food residue. If foodstuff has stuck to the cooking plates, pour a bit of warm water mixed with detergent over the food residue and clean the plates with a non-abrasive scouring pad. Do not use abrasive materials that could scratch or damage the non-stick coating. Wipe the outside of the sandwich maker with a damp cloth only. Do not clean the outside with abrasive products or immerse the appliance in water.
You can use the lock to keep the plates together, allowing you to store the product in an upright position.
