Tea Preparation

The machine can prepare three types of tea: green tea, black tea, and infusions. Water temperature is adjusted automatically. You can set the beverage volume.

Milk Recipes and Maintenance

Preparing Milk-Based Drinks

To prepare milk-based beverages, connect the milk tube (H) to the One Touch Cappuccino unit (G2) and place the other end in a milk container. The machine will first froth the milk, then dispense coffee.

You can adjust milk frothing time and coffee volume.

Milk System Maintenance

Important: Clean the milk tube and nozzle after each use to ensure hygiene and optimal foam quality. Rinse the machine after milk-based drinks or upon shutdown.

Milk Rinsing: After preparing a milk drink, the machine may prompt for milk rinsing. Press OK to perform.
Clean the milk tube and nozzle with warm water after each use.
Regularly clean the removable One Touch Cappuccino unit (see Deep Cleaning section).

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your machine.

Routine Cleaning

Empty Coffee Grounds Collector (C) & Drip Tray (E): Empty when indicated by the machine or when the float rises. Do not wash the collector in a dishwasher.
Clean Coffee Circuit: Run the automatic cleaning program (approx. 13 mins) using a KRUPS cleaning tablet (K) to remove coffee residues and oils.
Clean One Touch Cappuccino Unit: Perform a 5-minute cleaning cycle with KRUPS cleaning liquid or soapy water. Dismantle and clean the unit parts regularly.
Descale Machine: Run the automatic descaling program (approx. 20 mins) when prompted, using a KRUPS descaler. This removes limescale and tartare deposits.
Water Filter: Install, replace, or remove the water filter (I) as needed to improve coffee taste and machine longevity.

Maintenance Indicators

The 'Info' menu provides details on machine usage, maintenance needs, and beverage counts. The machine will indicate when cleaning, descaling, or filter replacement is due.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, consult the following:

Problem	Possible Solutions
Machine frozen or unresponsive	Turn off, unplug, remove filter, wait 1 min, restart. Press and hold ON/OFF (N) for 3 seconds to start.
Machine does not turn on	Check fuses and electrical outlet. Ensure power cord is securely plugged in.
Machine requests unplug/replug	Unplug for 20 seconds, remove filter, then plug back in. Machine will reset.
Power interruption during cycle	Machine resets automatically.
Abnormal grinder noise	Check for foreign objects in the grinder (L).
Water under the machine	Ensure drip tray (E) is correctly positioned and not full. Wait 15 seconds after coffee dispensing before removing the water tank (B).
Hot water from coffee spouts/steam wand after shutdown	This may be a normal automatic rinse cycle.
Grind adjustment knob (J) is stiff	Turn the knob only when the grinder (L) is operating.
No coffee dispensed	Check for incidents during preparation. Machine may have reset. Ensure bean hopper (F) has coffee.
Using ground coffee instead of beans	Vacuum out any ground coffee from the bean hopper (F).
Steam outlet partially/completely blocked	Dismantle nozzle, clean parts, check nozzle hole. Use cleaning needle if needed. Run milk rinse cycle. Check steam outlet for blockage. If persistent, use mineral water and run multiple steam cycles.
No steam output	Check steam outlet for blockage. If persistent, try the mineral water method described above.
Steam escaping from drip tray grille	This can be normal depending on preparation. Ensure cleaning tablet chute (K) is closed.
Steam under bean hopper lid	Ensure the cleaning tablet chute (K) is closed.
Grounds collector prompt when not full	The machine prompts based on a set number of coffees, not just fullness.
Descale prompt not appearing	Descale is prompted after significant steam circuit usage.
Coffee grounds in collector	Normal for small amounts of grounds to deposit. Machine is designed to evacuate excess.
Warning message remains after emptying collector	Reinstall collector (C) correctly and follow on-screen instructions.
Warning message remains after filling water tank	Check water tank (B) positioning. Ensure the float (I) moves freely. Check and unblock the float if necessary.
Machine does not suction milk / poor foam	Ensure One Touch Cappuccino unit (G2) is assembled correctly. Clean the mixer if blocked. Check steam outlet for blockage. Ensure milk tube (H) is not kinked and is submerged in milk. Rinse and clean the unit. Use fresh, cold milk.
Milk or water not flowing correctly	Ensure One Touch Cappuccino unit (G2) is correctly positioned.
Coffee flowing too slowly	Adjust grind fineness (J) to coarser. Run rinse cycles. Run the automatic cleaning program. Change the water filter.
Milk traces in Americano/hot water	Perform milk rinse, or dismantle and clean the One Touch Cappuccino unit (G2).
Coffee too light or not strong enough	Check bean hopper (F) for coffee. Reduce preparation volume, increase strength using Aroma+. Adjust grind fineness (J) to finer. Prepare in two cycles (x2). Rinse coffee circuit before brewing.
Espresso/coffee not hot enough	Increase coffee temperature in settings. Preheat cup with hot water.
Tea not hot enough or too hot	Adjust water temperature in settings.
