Exceptional Audio Everywhere: Motorola's exclusive IMPRES™ Smart Audio accessories communicate with the radio to suppress ambient noise, improve voice intelligibility, and amplify loudness, even in high-noise and harsh weather. Automatic Gain Control (AGC) further enhances audio by detecting changes in voice levels and adjusting microphone gain for clear communication.

Intelligent Audio with IMPRES: The DGP™8000 / DGP™5000 Series radios feature Intelligent Audio, which automatically adjusts radio volume to compensate for background noise. This allows workers to avoid missing calls in loud situations or disturbing others in quiet places. Increased background noise suppression filters out unwanted external clamor. When an IMPRES accessory is plugged in, it instantly sets the volume level and enhances Intelligent Audio capabilities, optimizing audio performance by recognizing the accessory and loading the correct profile.

Enhanced Mobility with Integrated Bluetooth®: Improve crew mobility without tangled wires. Bluetooth® is embedded in the DGP™8000 Series radios and offered as a premium feature for the DGP™5000. This eliminates the need for an adapter. Operations Critical Wireless earpieces handle loud environments, and optional wireless push-to-talk (PTT) pods seamlessly link to any earpiece.

Smarter Batteries: IMPRES Smart Energy System batteries automate battery maintenance and eliminate overcharging. Included in the DGP™8000 and optional for the DGP™5000, IMPRES batteries store critical data for replacement notifications and feature a textured surface for easier gripping, even with gloves. Use the same charger for all MOTOTRBO portable radios with the MOTOTRBO multi-unit charger.

One Antenna Handles the Band: The DGP™8000 / DGP™5000 Series radios feature a new wideband UHF whip antenna providing coverage across the entire band (403-512 MHz). Stubby antennas are available for a less obtrusive option and offer improved performance.
