For Smart Lock Installation:

INSTALLATION

Step 1. Prepare the Door

  1. Remove the existing lock and check your door.
  2. Verify door compatibility. Standard US doors are generally compatible. If not, use the provided template to drill holes.

    Door Specifications:

    • Backset: 2³/₈" (60 mm) or 2³/₄" (70 mm)
    • Door Hole Diameter: 1" (25 mm)
    • Cross Bore Diameter: 1 ¹/₂" (38 mm) or 2 ¹/₈" (54 mm)
    • Door Thickness: 1³/₁₆" - 2¹/₁₆" (35 mm - 55 mm)
    • Minimum Distance (from door edge to cross bore center): 1 ¹/₁₆" (45 mm)

Step 2. Install Deadbolt

  1. Check if the deadbolt requires adjustment based on your door's backset.
  2. Insert the deadbolt into the door frame. Ensure the correct orientation (word "TOP" should be facing up).
  3. Secure the deadbolt with screws.
  4. If the latch hole is round, contact customer service for a round drive-in faceplate.

Step 3. Install Exterior Assembly

  • Remove the spacer before installation if your cross bore diameter is 38 mm.
  • Mount the exterior assembly onto the door, ensuring the deadbolt tailpiece passes through the opening.

Step 4. Install Interior Assembly

  1. Detach the back cover from the interior assembly.
  2. Run the connecting wires through the back cover.
  3. Secure the back cover to the exterior assembly using the provided screws. Ensure correct wire connection.
  4. Mount the interior assembly onto the back cover, tucking wires neatly into the designated compartment.
  5. Verify the deadbolt is retracted and the thumb turn is in the 'unlock' position. Test the deadbolt movement by turning the thumb turn.
  6. Install 8 AA batteries with correct polarity. It is recommended to install the bottom layer of 4 AA batteries first. Do not attach the cover until system setup is complete via the app.
  7. Use a long screwdriver to fasten the interior assembly screws securely.

Step 5. Install Strike Plate

  1. Align the strike plate with the door frame and secure it with strike screws.
  2. Ensure the latch hole on the door frame is deep enough (1" / 25.4 mm) to prevent calibration failure during setup.

  1. Download and install the eufy Security app from your app store and create an account.
  2. Follow the in-app instructions to add the Smart Lock C220 to your device list. For more information, visit https://support.eufy.com/s/.
