Important Safety Information
WARNING! Furniture tip-over can cause serious or fatal crushing injuries. To reduce the risk of furniture tip-over, ALWAYS secure this furniture to the wall using the provided tip-over restraints. To further reduce the risk of serious injury and death from tip-overs: Place heaviest items in the lower drawer. Do not set TVs or other heavy objects on top of this product. Never let children climb or hang on drawers, doors, or shelves. Read and follow each step of the instructions carefully.
Parts and Tools Overview
This assembly requires various components and tools. Key tools include screwdrivers (Phillips and flathead), a hammer, and a drill with appropriate drill bits (Ø 8mm and Ø 3mm). The package contains numerous hardware items such as screws, dowels, cam locks, hinges, drawer slides, handles, and wall mounting brackets. Various wooden panels form the main structure of the cabinet, including sides, top, bottom, back panels, shelves, and drawer components.
Assembly Steps
Phase 1: Cabinet Frame Assembly
Begin by assembling the main cabinet frame. This involves connecting the base panel, side panels, and back panels using the provided hardware. Install internal drawer runners and supports onto the side panels. Attach the feet to the base of the cabinet. Secure the back panels to complete the main cabinet structure.
Phase 2: Door and Drawer Installation
Attach the hinges to the doors and the main cabinet frame. Mount the doors onto the cabinet. Assemble the drawer boxes by connecting the drawer sides, back, base, and front panels. Install the corresponding drawer slides onto the cabinet and the assembled drawers. Carefully insert the drawers into the cabinet.
Phase 3: Drawer Completion and Final Touches
Complete the drawer assembly process as per the diagrams. Attach the handles to the doors and drawers using the provided screws. Ensure all components are securely fastened.
Wall Mounting Instructions
For safety, it is crucial to secure the furniture to the wall using the provided anti-tip hardware. The method depends on your wall type:
For Solid Walls (Type A):
Use the supplied screws directly into the solid wall. For solid wood walls (Type C), use the screws without wall plugs. Drill a pilot hole of appropriate size (e.g., Ø 8mm for wall plugs if used, or smaller for wood screws).
For Hollow Walls (Type B):
Use the supplied screws with the provided wall plugs. Drill a hole of appropriate size (e.g., Ø 8mm) for the wall plugs.
Ensure the wall mounting bracket is securely attached to the furniture and the wall according to the instructions.
