Introduction

Extend your smart home to the outdoors with the weather-resistant Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Outdoor Plug. Control patio lights, holiday decorations, and more from your smartphone. You can turn each outlet on/off individually, set schedules, and use voice commands with Alexa, Google Assistant, or Microsoft Cortana.

Appearance

The Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Outdoor Plug features two individual smart outlets, each with a control button for turning the connected device on or off. A System LED indicates the current status, changing color based on different states.

Smart Outlet

Smart Outlet x 2: Plug in your devices and control them from your smartphone. Each outlet operates independently.

Lit up when the corresponding smart outlet is on.

Control Button

Control Button x 2: Press the control button to turn the corresponding outlet on or off. Press and hold for 5 seconds to re-enable setup mode. Press and hold for 10 seconds to restore the plug to factory default settings.

Set Up Your Smart Outdoor Plug

Follow these steps to set up your smart outdoor plug using the Kasa Smart app:

  1. Download and install Kasa app: Go to Google Play or the Apple App Store, or scan the QR code to download the Kasa app on your Android or iOS smartphone or tablet.
  2. Log in or sign up with TP-Link ID: Open the app and log in using your TP-Link ID. If you don't have one, tap "Create Account" and follow the app's instructions.
  3. Add Device: Tap the '+' button in the Kasa app, select "Smart Outdoor Plug," and follow the step-by-step app instructions to complete the setup.

Main Device Controls

After successful setup, the Kasa app's home page displays the status of all added devices. You can manage them and control individual outlets (HS107 models).

Configure Your Smart Outdoor Plug

From the Device Status page in the Kasa app, you can configure various settings for your smart outlets:

Set Schedule

Tap the [Schedule Button] to create a schedule for your smart outlet, automating daily on/off actions.

Preset Away Mode

Tap the [Away Button] to preset Away Mode, which will randomly turn your smart outlet on/off during the specified time to simulate occupancy.

Set Timer

Tap the [Timer Button] to set a timer, after which your smart outlet will automatically turn on or off.

Check Usage

Tap the [Usage Button] to view and track energy consumption for your connected devices.

Tap the [Settings Button] to view and change your smart outlet's settings, such as renaming, setting icons, or configuring remote control and integrations.

Create Scenes

A scene is a preset group of smart devices that can be programmed, customized, and activated simultaneously with a single button press from your smartphone or tablet. Scenes allow you to easily set your mood, activity, or prepare for special occasions by automating how your smart home devices behave.

Discover Kasa

Integrate your Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Outdoor Plug with Amazon Alexa, Google Home Assistant, or Microsoft Cortana for a hands-free experience. IFTTT support enables easy interaction with a wide range of products.

To set up these integrations, launch the Kasa app and navigate to Add Device > WORKS WITH KASA, then select the desired service (e.g., Nest Home and Away, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, IFTTT) for detailed instructions.
