Follow Me Mode

When activated, the drone follows your smartphone's GPS. Ensure your smartphone is connected to the drone and using the Contixo F22 App.

  1. Keep the drone about 9 feet away and 90 feet high.
  2. Click the running person icon ? on the app interface.
  3. Wait for the app status to display "Follow Me Ready". The drone will then follow your phone's GPS coordinates.
  4. Click the running person icon ? again to exit Follow Me mode.

Common Issues: Follow Me mode may fail if your phone's GPS signal is weak due to signal loss from buildings, trees, or network congestion.

The F24 drone does not have obstacle avoidance capability when returning to an assigned area. Always fly in open and clean areas.

Follow Object

Click the running person icon ?, then click the box around person or object icon ?️. Tap the object/person to track, then tap again to confirm. Ensure the frame size matches the object/person.

Selfie Mode

Click the hand with two fingers icon ✌️ on the app. Follow the "Warm Tip" on the screen. Hold up 2 fingers to take a photo ?. Wave your hand to begin recording video ?. There is a 3-second countdown.

Note: Hand gestures are based on your right hand. This function requires adequate light; low light may prevent detection.

Return-to-Home (RTH)

The RTH function brings the drone back to the takeoff point. It can only be achieved under GPS mode.

There are 3 types of RTH: Smart RTH, Low-battery RTH, and Fail connection RTH.

RTH GPS Feature Description

When RTH is active, the drone first ascends to the set return altitude (should clear obstacles like buildings/trees). It then flies to the home position and lands.

  1. Smart Return To Home: Activated via RTH button on remote or in app.
  2. Low-Battery Return-to-Home: Triggered when flight battery is critically low. The drone returns to about 100 feet from the last known home location.
  3. Fail connection Return-to-Home (RTH): Activated if the signal to the remote control is lost. Re-sync the remote if the drone returns into view. Pull the throttle down to land safely.

Headless Mode

The drone defaults to Normal Mode upon successful pairing. Click the compass icon ? to enter Headless mode, and click again to exit.

Normal Mode: Before takeoff, white lights indicate the forward-facing direction.

Headless Mode: Before takeoff, white lights indicate forward direction. When the drone rotates, the flight direction remains unchanged relative to the pilot's initial orientation.

Control Direction: In Headless Mode, the forward direction is the direction the pilot faces when pairing. Pushing the joystick forward flies forward, backward flies towards the pilot. Left/right stick movements are relative to the pilot. It is crucial not to change your position or facing direction during flight to avoid misdirection.

Adjusting Trim in No GPS Mode

If the drone drifts in No GPS Mode, you can trim it for balanced flight. Press and hold the camera button ? for 3 seconds to enter trim mode. While holding, push the direction joystick to the opposite side of the drift to rebalance. Release the camera button ? to exit trim mode.

Waypoint Flight

  3. Mark up to 16 points for the flight path within the Red Circle.
  4. To reset points or the path, click "Delete single" or "Delete all". Click "Send" to confirm and start Waypoint Flight.
  5. Push the right joystick at any time to cancel the Waypoint Flight function.

Orbit Mode

  1. Hover the drone around a center point.
  2. Press the camera ? and video camera ? buttons simultaneously on the remote control.
  3. Set the drone within a preferred radius range (6 feet – 30 feet) using the direction joystick.
  4. Press the camera ? and video camera ? buttons simultaneously again. The drone will fly according to the set radius.

Note: If the radius is less than 6 feet, the drone will fly to 6 feet automatically. Move the direction joystick to cancel Point of Interest mode.

The Point of Interest function can be activated if the drone and remote control are paired and the drone is flying.

How To Find a Lost Drone

  1. Click the satellite icon ?️ three times to open the map and search for the drone.
  2. The last known position of the drone will appear on the map (with an approximate 30 feet error). If you reach the location and still cannot find the drone, try toggling the drone's WiFi connection off/on. Reconnecting establishes a live feed and provides clues. The drone's WiFi broadcasts as long as the battery has power.

Note: The APP must remain open. If the APP is closed, the last position will disappear from the map.

Micro SD Card

Original images and videos are saved on the Micro SD card (sold separately). Insert the card into a card reader and connect to a computer's USB outlet to retrieve files. Images can also be viewed in the app.

You can use up to a 32GB memory card with your drone.

Wi-Fi Recording Restrictions: Best quality via Wi-Fi is 720p. Signal loss can cause video jumps or delays. Using a micro SD card is recommended for uninterrupted video.

SD Card Recommendations: A high-quality, brand-name micro SD card is recommended for optimal performance. If the card is larger than 32GB, format it to 32GB FAT32 or NTFS. Ensure the card is readable in your laptop or device before first use; format it if necessary.
