Dimensional Drawing

The sensor has a rectangular housing with overall dimensions of 16.2 mm (width) x 48.5 mm (height) x 31.8 mm (depth). It features an M18 threaded mounting system for nose or side mounting, with a range of 24.1 to 25.4 mm. A 4-pin M12 male connector is located at the top. The front face includes a yellow LED indicator for the status of the received light beam and a green LED indicator for power status. The housing also includes M3 mounting holes and a snap connection for a flush ring. A potentiometer for sensitivity adjustment is located on the right side of the sensor.

Adjustments Possible

The sensor features two potentiometers for adjustment: one on the right for sensitivity and one on the left, which is not used (None). A signal strength light bar is also present to indicate the status of the received light beam.

The Y-axis represents the operating reserve on a logarithmic scale (1 to 1000), and the X-axis represents the distance in millimeters (and inches). Three curves are shown: sensing range on black (6% remission), sensing range on gray (18% remission), and sensing range on white (90% remission).

Light Spot Size

This graph shows the light spot size for infrared light. The Y-axis indicates the diameter in millimeters (and inches), and the X-axis indicates the distance in millimeters (and inches). For example, at a distance of 50 mm, the spot size is approximately 8 mm; at 500 mm, it is approximately 65 mm; and at 1000 mm, it is approximately 135 mm.

Sensing Range Diagram

This diagram shows the sensing range for infrared light. The Y-axis represents the sensing range in millimeters, and the X-axis represents the distance in millimeters. It displays the maximum sensing range and the sensing range for different object reflectances: black (6% remission), gray (18% remission), and white (90% remission).
