Precautions
Please read this user manual and your camera's user manual carefully.
- Do not place the device near liquids; it is not waterproof, splash-proof, or dust-proof.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or high temperatures to prevent deformation or malfunction.
- Do not place the device in areas with excessive vibration to prevent damage.
- Avoid areas with strong electromagnetic fields to prevent malfunction.
- Do not place the device in sandy areas to prevent dust ingress and malfunction.
- Do not dispose of this device with ordinary household waste.
- The top, vents, and metal parts may become hot after prolonged use.
LCD Screen Operation
- Do not place heavy objects on the LCD screen to avoid unevenness.
- In cold environments, horizontal lines or residual images may appear on the screen; this is not a malfunction and will resolve as the monitor warms up.
- Prolonged display of static images (e.g., split screens, timecodes, or still images) may cause residual images or ghosting.
- The screen and casing will gradually heat up during operation; this is not a malfunction.
- The LCD screen is produced with high-precision technology. A small number of pixels may appear as "bright spots" or be permanently dark (black), bright (red, green, or blue), or flicker. These are not malfunctions.
Cleaning
- Remove the battery before cleaning.
- The screen surface is specially treated to reduce reflections. Improper maintenance may degrade performance.
- Gently wipe the screen or casing with a soft, dry cloth (e.g., a cleaning cloth or glass cleaning cloth).
- Stubborn stains can be removed with a neutral cleaning agent.
- Do not use solvents like thinner or alcohol to clean the device, as this may damage the casing and screen.
- Do not wipe the casing with rough cloths to avoid scratching the surface.
- Prolonged contact between the casing and rubber or vinyl resin products may damage or peel the surface coating.
Battery, Charger, and Power Adapter
Use compatible batteries or power adapters. If you do not have a battery or power adapter, please purchase one separately.

The DC-550 Pro is a 5.5-inch touchscreen HD monitor with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. It displays real-time HDMI video signals from cameras with interchangeable lenses or digital HD camcorders, providing a powerful monitoring assistance system for photographers.

Installing Battery and Mount Adapter
Battery Installation
This product uses rechargeable lithium batteries. Compatible models include NP-F550/F570/F750/F770/F960/F970.
- Slide the battery inward in the indicated direction and then slide it left to release it.
- Press and hold the battery release button while sliding the battery to the right to remove it.
Mount Adapter Installation
- Select the mount adapter orientation based on your camera's hot shoe shape.
- Align the 1/4" screw of the mount adapter with the 1/4" screw hole of the monitor.
- Lock the rotating disc of the mount adapter.
- Insert the mount adapter's base into the camera's universal hot shoe and lock the rotating disc to secure it.
Note: If using a camera with a pop-up flash, disable the flash. Remove the monitor before using the flash.
HDMI HD Signal Cable Connection
- Connect the monitor to your camera using the included HDMI HD signal cable.
- Turn on the camera and the monitor. The camera's viewfinder image will be displayed on the monitor's LCD screen. If your camera has an HDMI output setting, set it to AUTO or 16:9.
Note: If the HDMI cable is not long enough, purchase a longer one. If the camera screen shows no image, ensure the camera is in shooting mode and outputting an HDMI signal. If the monitor displays "no signal," press the rotary button or ensure the camera is outputting a signal and the cable is connected correctly.
Sun Hood
Place the monitor onto the sun hood's bottom supports and gently snap it into place. To remove, pull the top edge of the sun hood frame outwards.
Mounting Methods
The device can be mounted using either of the two methods shown.
Caution: Do not apply excessive force when tilting or panning. Ensure the HDMI cable is not taut or caught on moving parts.
Menu Functions
Menu Operation
- Press the rotary button (⑥) to display the menu.
- Rotate the rotary button (⑥) up or down to select an option.
- Press the rotary button (⑥) again to confirm and enter the function.
- Press the return button (③) to go back to the previous menu.
Ensure the correct HDMI signal cable and power cable are connected before operating the menu.
Menu Categories
- Monitoring Tools: Camera Mode, Image Freeze, Gyro Auto Flip, Mirror Flip, Scan Mode, Pixel to Pixel, Monochrome, Zebra Stripe, False Color, Peaking Focus.
- Marking & Composition: Aspect Ratio, Zoom, Marker Ratio, Center Marker, Safe Frame, Marker Settings.
- Image Display: Signal Source, Battery System, Power Settings.
- Waveform: (Displays waveform data)
- System Settings: Shortcut Key Settings (F1/F2/F3).
Touchscreen Operation
- Menu: Double-tap the screen to bring up the menu. Tap outside the menu to exit.
- Volume Adjustment: Swipe up/down on the left side of the screen.
- Backlight Adjustment: Swipe up/down on the right side of the screen.
- Zoom In/Out: Use two fingers to pinch in or out.
Note: When zoomed in, double-tapping will not bring up the menu until the zoom frame disappears.

Troubleshooting
- Cannot remove battery: Battery not unlocked. Press the battery release button and slide the battery out.
- No power: Battery depleted. Replace the battery. Power adapter disconnected. Reconnect correctly.
- Cannot mount to camera: Incorrect mount adapter type. Check camera hot shoe and select the correct adapter.
- Camera in power saving mode: Press the shutter button halfway to exit power saving mode.
- No image displayed on monitor: HDMI cable disconnected or signal source not active. Reconnect and set up correctly. Cameras without live view cannot display images on this monitor.
- No image on camera screen: Depending on the camera, the image may only display on the monitor.
- No sound: Check monitor volume and camera audio settings.
- Cannot shoot: Camera may switch to playback mode. Ensure the camera is in shooting mode before taking photos.
- Screen not visible outdoors: Use the sun hood and increase the monitor's backlight setting.
- Screen unclear: The monitor's aspect ratio is 16:9; some images may display with black bars.
