Speco Technologies 2MP Temperature, Face and Mask Detection Reading Panel

Step 1: Hardware Assembly & Wall Installation

Wall Installation: The installation involves mounting the detection panel device, connecting it to a mounting bracket, and then to the wall. This process is designed for easy installation and accurate recognition.

Make All Necessary Connections:

• Power Requirements: 12VDC 1A
• Ethernet (non-PoE): Required to access settings.

Installation should be performed by a qualified professional.

Step 2: Scenario Selection

DAYtime Installation Considerations:

• ✔️ Install at least 10ft away from any window or doorway.
• ❌ Avoid Direct Sunlight.
• ❌ Avoid Indirect Sunlight.
• ❌ Avoid Backlight.

NIGHTtime Installation Considerations:

• ✔️ Install at least 6.5 ft away from any light source.
• ❌ Avoid any light source in the field of view within 30° of the horizontal plane.

Suitable installation locations include:

• Schools
• Apartment Complexes
• Company Areas
• Office Buildings
• Warehouses
• Museums

Step 3: Attention & Installation Details

Recommended Installation Height: 4'3" to 4'9". This height range should cover persons from 4'7" to 7'2".

Recommended Measure Range: Approximately 1' to 1.3' from the device.

Installation Best Practices:

• ✔️ Measuring Distance: Maintain a distance of approximately 30-40cm.
• ❌ Installed Too High: Ensure the device is not mounted too high.
• ✔️ Flush: The device should be mounted flush with the surface.
• ❌ Don't Wear a Hat: Users should not wear hats that obscure their face.
• ❌ Not Showing Forehead: The forehead must be visible for accurate scanning.
• ✔️ Forehead clear: Ensure the forehead is clear of obstructions.

Step 4: Power On & Configuration

Connect the face recognition terminal to the LAN and power it up.

1. Temperature Measurement Configuration:
   • a. Enable Temperature Measurement
   • b. Set Temperature Range (e.g., High Temperature Alarm: 99.0°F, Low Temperature Alarm: 96.0°F)
   • c. Set Alarm Trigger
   • d. Save settings
2. Mask Detection Configuration:
   • a. Enable Mask Detection
   • b. Set Alarm Holding Time (e.g., 20 Seconds)
   • c. Set Alarm Trigger
   • d. Save settings
3. Setting of Face Function:
   • Face Database Management: Add, search, delete, and modify user data including face images, ID, name, gender, and type (e.g., Allow list).
   • Face Match Config: Configure Deduplication Period (e.g., 4 Seconds) and Similarity threshold (e.g., 75%).

Step 5: Access Control Configuration

Alarm Linkage Door Opening Mode: Configure settings like enabling mask detection, setting alarm holding time, and alarm triggers, then save.

Wiegand Mode:

• Connection Method 1: Open the door after successful matching.

  The panel's DO, D1, and GND outputs connect to an Access Controller, which then controls the Door.

• Connection Method 2: Card reader integration.

  A Card Reader's Wiegand Input (DO, D1, GND) connects to the panel. The panel's Alarm Output connects to the Door. This method allows the card reader to input information to the terminal, and upon successful face verification, the door opens.

Door Lock Configuration:

• a. Set Unlocking Mode: Options include 'By Face Recognition', 'Normal Temperature', and 'Mask'. Multiple modes can be combined.
• b. Set Unlocking Delay Time and Duration.
• c. Save settings.

Tip: Select any one or more combination of unlocking modes as needed.
