Product Usage
Before First Use
- Unpack the appliance. Remove all labels and packaging materials.
- Check that the appliance and accessories are complete and free of transport damage. If damaged, incomplete, or faulty, do not use and contact your dealer.
- Before first use, wipe the base unit with a soft dry cloth and clean food-contact accessories as per the Cleaning and Maintenance section.
- The appliance may emit slight smoke or odor on first use; this is normal and will dissipate.
⚠️ WARNING! To avoid danger of suffocation or choking, keep plastic bags and all packaging materials away from babies and children.
Using the Fondue Set
- Place the appliance indoors in a well-ventilated area on a firm, level, heat-resistant surface.
- Unroll the power cord completely and arrange it safely to prevent tripping or pulling by children or pets.
- Fill the fondue pot with your chosen recipe (cheese, oil, or chocolate fondue), ensuring the content is between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks.
- Place the fondue pot securely on the base unit, ensuring it sits flat on the heating plate.
- Place the splatter guard on the fondue pot.
- Ensure the thermostat knob is set to "0" (OFF), then plug the power cord into the wall socket.
- Turn the thermostat knob clockwise to switch on the appliance and select the heat level [0 (OFF) – Low – Medium – High-MAX]. The indicator light will illuminate. It turns off when the selected temperature is reached. During use, the indicator light cycles on/off as the thermostat maintains the temperature.
- Adjust the heat by turning the thermostat knob clockwise to increase or anti-clockwise to decrease.
- Dip bite-size food pieces with the fondue forks and cook to your preference.
ℹ️ NOTE: The slots in the splatter guard are for resting fondue forks when not in use. Forks have colored ends for easy identification.
10. Let food cool on your plate before eating with a regular fork.
⚠️ CAUTION! Do not eat with fondue forks to avoid injury. They have sharp tips and long handles for spearing and dipping food only. Rest the fondue fork on the side of your plate, noting it will be hot.
11. Stir the fondue occasionally with a wooden spoon or silicone spatula to prevent sticking.
ℹ️ NOTE: Do not stir with metal utensils or fondue forks, or cut food directly in the pot to avoid scratching the non-stick coating. Use a wooden spoon or silicone spatula.
12. When finished, turn the thermostat knob to "0" (OFF) and unplug the appliance.
13. Allow the appliance and accessories to cool completely before cleaning (refer to Cleaning and Maintenance section).
⚠️ WARNING! RISK OF FIRE: Overheated oil or fat can ignite quickly. Never leave heating oil or fat unsupervised. If oil ignites, do not use water. Cover the pot immediately with a lid or plate. Turn off, unplug, and let the pot cool on the base.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning and Maintenance
⚠️ WARNING! To prevent risk of electrocution, turn off and unplug the unit before cleaning. Allow the appliance to cool completely. Do not immerse the power cord, plug, or base unit in water or other liquids. Do not rinse under tap water.
- Clean the fondue set after each use.
- Never use solvents, chemical or abrasive cleaners, metal brushes, sharp objects, or scouring pads. Use mild liquid dish detergent.
- Wipe the base unit with a soft cloth lightly moistened with water. For stubborn stains, use warm soapy water. Dry thoroughly with a soft dry cloth.
- Wash the fondue pot, splatter guard, and fondue forks in warm soapy water with a soft cloth or sponge. Soak stuck-on food for a few minutes before cleaning. Rinse well and allow to dry.
- Allow all parts to dry completely before re-use.
ℹ️ NOTE: The interior of the fondue pot may darken or yellow over time; this is normal and does not affect the non-stick coating performance.
Disposal of Used Oil
- Let the oil cool down in the fondue pot.
- Scrape grease and pour oil into a resealable container. Close lid tightly.
- Dispose of the full container in household garbage or take it to a local recycling center.
