1. What's in the box

JBL Charge Essential speaker (x1)

2. Buttons

The speaker features the following buttons:

Bluetooth button

3. Connections

Connect your devices to the JBL Charge Essential using the provided USB cable.

The speaker can also connect to various audio sources like laptops, smartphones, and tablets via Bluetooth.

4. Bluetooth® Pairing

To pair your device with the JBL Charge Essential:

Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
Turn on the JBL Charge Essential.
Select 'JBL CHARGE ESSENTIAL' from the list of available Bluetooth devices on your device.
Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator will show a solid connection.

5. LED Behavior

The LED indicator on the speaker shows its status:

Standby: LED is off.
Power on: LED is solid white.
Bluetooth Pairing: LED is flashing blue.
Bluetooth Connected: LED is solid blue.

6. Warning

The JBL Charge Essential is IPX7 waterproof. This means it can be immersed in water up to 1 meter deep for up to 30 minutes.

IMPORTANT:

To ensure waterproofing, remove all cable connections and tightly close the cap. Exposing the speaker to liquids without doing so may result in permanent damage.
Do not expose the JBL Charge Essential to water while charging, as this may result in permanent damage to the speaker or power source.

Battery Care

To prolong battery lifespan, fully charge the battery at least once every 3 months. Battery life will vary due to usage patterns and environmental conditions.

When using an external adapter, the output voltage/current should not exceed 5V/3A.
