Buttons
The speaker features several buttons for control:
- Power Button: Turns the speaker on/off.
- Bluetooth Button: Initiates Bluetooth pairing.
- Volume Down Button: Decreases the volume.
- Volume Up Button: Increases the volume.
- Play/Pause Button: Plays or pauses music.
- Next Track Button: Skips to the next track.
- Previous Track Button: Skips to the previous track.
Connections
Connect your devices to the JBL Charge 3:
- Connect audio sources via Bluetooth.
- Connect to the USB port for charging.
Bluetooth® Pairing
To pair a Bluetooth device:
- Press the Bluetooth button on the speaker.
- Select "JBL Charge 3" from your device's Bluetooth list.
Hands-free
The JBL Charge 3 supports hands-free calling with Voice Logic technology for enhanced voice clarity.
JBL Connect
Wirelessly link multiple JBL Connect-compatible speakers together to amplify your audio experience. Press the JBL Connect button on each speaker to begin pairing. All connected speakers will play the same music from the same device.

The LED indicators show the status of the speaker:

Warning
The JBL Charge 3 is IPX7 waterproof. To maintain waterproofing, ensure all cable connections are removed and the cap is tightly closed before exposing the speaker to liquids. Do not expose the speaker to water while charging, as this may cause permanent damage.
IPX7 waterproof rating means the speaker can be immersed in water up to 1 meter deep for up to 30 minutes.
