Welcome to the AWE family, and congratulations on your purchase of the AWE Diverter Valve adapter for the Audi RS 3 and TT RS.

AWE DV Adapter Kit for 2019+ Models

The parts diagram shows the following components labeled with letters: A (DV adaptor), B (O-ring), C (O-ring), D (worm-drive clamps), and F (silicone heater hose).

Installation Steps

STEP 1

NOTE: Always refer to the manufacturer's service manual for precise torque specifications on all OEM fasteners.

CAUTION: The engine may be VERY HOT — allow adequate time for the system to cool down before disassembly. Severe burns and injury will occur if skin comes into contact with a hot components.

The installation of the AWE diverter valve requires you to remove the OEM diverter valve hose. This is shown in Figure 1-1 and 1-2.

Figure 1-1 shows the engine bay with the OEM diverter valve hose highlighted. Figure 1-2 shows a close-up of the OEM diverter valve hose connection.

STEP 2

Remove the 2 bolts on the engine side of the OEM hose, as shown in Figure 2-1. This will allow the diverter valve hose to be removed with the OEM intake, as shown in Figure 2-2.

Note: These 2 bolts will be reused in the install of your AWE diverter valve.

Figure 2-1 shows two bolts highlighted on the engine side of the OEM hose. Figure 2-2 shows the OEM intake assembly being removed.

STEP 3

Gather the AWE diverter valve adapter and the 2 O-rings provided, and install these onto the diverter valve, as shown in Figure 3-1 and 3-2.

Figure 3-1 shows the diverter valve adapter with an O-ring being installed. Figure 3-2 shows the diverter valve adapter with both O-rings installed.

STEP 4

With the O-rings installed onto the adapter, install it into the OEM location, as shown in Figure 4.

Figure 4 shows the AWE diverter valve adapter being installed into the OEM location on the engine.

STEP 5

Install the bolts removed earlier from the OEM hose into the AWE diverter valve, as shown in Figure 5.

Figure 5 shows the bolts being installed to secure the AWE diverter valve adapter.

STEP 6

Install the provided hose and 2 hose clamps onto the diverter valve and AWE carbon intake, as shown in Figure 6-1 and 6-2.

Figure 6-1 shows the silicone hose being connected to the diverter valve with a clamp. Figure 6-2 shows the completed installation with the AWE carbon fiber intake.

STEP 7

Follow your AWE carbon fiber intake install instructions to complete the installation of your intake.

Figure 7 shows the engine bay with the AWE carbon fiber intake and diverter valve adapter installed.
