Installation Steps
STEP 1: Positioning and Clearance
Choose the Mirror direction - vertical or horizontal. Follow the appropriate diagram below.
Vertical Assembly: A rectangular mirror oriented upright.
Horizontal Assembly: A rectangular mirror oriented sideways.
Select the desired position for the mirror. Level it and mark the location.
IMPORTANT: Ensure there is at least 3 inches of clearance above any obstructions.
Diagram Description: A mirror is shown mounted on a wall above a sink. Arrows indicate a minimum clearance of 3 inches above the mirror and 3 inches to the sides of the mirror.
STEP 2: Marking Holes
Place the positioning cardboard in the designated position. Find the corresponding hole on the positioning cardboard according to the product width, mark the hole, and ensure the mark is level.
Diagram Description: A wall is shown with a template being placed. Measurements are indicated for different mirror widths (e.g., 20", 24", 30", 36"). Holes are marked on the wall using the template and a level.
STEP 3: Drilling and Inserting Wall Plugs
3.1 Drill holes about 1 1/2 inches deep at each of the marked locations.
3.2 Insert wall plugs.
For walls thicker than 3/8" to 1/2", drill a 5/16" hole and insert the WALL PLUG (4).
For walls thinner than 3/8" to 1/2", drill a 3/8" hole and insert the AIRCRAFT-SHAPED WALL PLUG (5).
Diagram Description: Step 3.1 shows a drill creating holes in the wall. Step 3.2 shows a rubber mallet tapping wall plugs into the drilled holes.
STEP 4: Preparing the Rotating Shaft
Use a hex wrench to remove the retaining clip on the rotating shaft.
Diagram Description: A hex wrench is shown being used to unscrew a retaining clip from a rotating shaft assembly. The assembly is shown disassembled.
STEP 5: Mounting the Retaining Clip Plate
Attach the retaining clip plate to the wall using screws.
Diagram Description: The retaining clip plate is shown being screwed onto the wall, aligned with the previously drilled holes.
STEP 6: Installing the Rotating Shaft
Install the rotating shaft. Position the rotating shaft at the center of the mirror's side and secure it.
IMPORTANT: The rotating shaft is divided into left and right. When installing on the wall, ensure the tension adjustment screw on the rotating shaft faces the ground.
Diagram Description: The rotating shaft assembly is shown being attached to the side of the mirror. An arrow indicates the correct orientation for the tension adjustment screw.
STEP 7: Attaching the Mirror
Install the tilted mirror. Align the rotating shaft with the retaining clip on the wall and tighten the retaining clip.
Diagram Description: The mirror with the attached rotating shaft is shown being hung onto the retaining clip plate on the wall. The clip is then tightened.
STEP 8: Adjusting Mirror Movement
The tightness of the mirror's movement can be adjusted by turning the screw on the rotating shaft.
Diagram Description: A close-up view shows the adjustment screw on the rotating shaft. Turning the screw is indicated to change the mirror's tension.
