Operation Instructions
Installation and Connection
Unpack all parts and remove protective material. Before connecting, check mains voltage and ensure adequate ventilation (several centimetres around the unit).
- Connect the power cord (25) to an AC outlet.
- Press the Power on/off/Function button (13) to turn on the unit. The LCD display (2) will light up.
- Set the function to FM (Tuner) mode using button (13). If sound is heard, the power supply is normal.
Listening to DAB/FM Radio
Getting Started
- Connect the DAB/FM antenna to the DAB/FM antenna socket (22) at the back of the unit and extend it for best reception.
- Turn on the unit using the Power on/off/Function button (13) and press it again to switch to DAB/FM mode.
FM Radio - Auto Scan
- Select FM mode.
- Press the “Scan” button (4) to auto-search the nearest FM station forward and stop. Press again for the next station.
- Press and hold the “Scan” button (4) for 2-3 seconds to auto-search backward.
- Adjust the volume knob (9) to the desired level.
FM Radio - Manual Tuning
- Turn the “Select/Enter” knob (3) to tune to the desired station manually.
- Adjust the volume knob (9) to the desired level.
FM & FM-Stereo Reception
The unit defaults to FM mode. If reception is strong, it will be stereo; otherwise, it will be mono. During tuner mode, press the Play/pause/Enter button (14) on the remote to switch between mono/auto FM mode. Mono is recommended for weak stereo signals.
DAB Radio - Auto Scan
- Select DAB mode. The unit will scan for DAB stations automatically.
- Use the “Scan” button (4) to auto-search forward or hold for backward search.
- Adjust the volume knob (9) to the desired level.
DAB Radio - Manual Tuning
- Turn the “Select/Enter” knob (3) to tune to the desired station manually.
- Adjust the volume knob (9) to the desired level.
Radio Data System (RDS)
Press the Info button (11) continuously to display radio text, program type, reception, time/date, frequency, and mono/stereo status.
Hints for Best Reception
Extend the external DAB/FM antenna connected to socket (22).
Preset Stations (by remote control)
Store up to 20 radio stations (10 FM/10 DAB).
- Set to FM/DAB mode.
- Tune to the desired station.
- Press and hold the Preset button (12) for approximately two seconds to enable memory state ("Empty P1" will display).
- Use the Tuner/Menu +/- buttons on the remote to select the desired memory slot.
- Press the Preset button (12) to confirm storing.
- Repeat steps 2-5 for other stations.
Recall Preset Stations
- Press the Preset button (12) once to enable recall state.
- Use the Tuner/Menu +/- buttons to select the desired preset station.
- Press the Preset button (12) to confirm selection.
Preset stations are cancelled if the main power supply is disconnected. It is recommended to switch the system to standby mode for convenience. You can overwrite a preset station by storing another frequency.
Playing Compact Disc (CD/MP3)
Getting Started
- Turn on the unit (13) and select "CD mode" using button (13).
- Press the “Open/Close” button (6) to open the CD door.
- Place a CD with the printed side facing up inside the tray and close the door.
- The unit will perform focus search and start playback automatically, displaying track number and playing time.
Play / Pause / Stop Mode
- Press the Play/Pause button (14) to pause playback (LCD display will flash). Press again to resume.
- Press the Stop button (12) to stop playback.
Skip/Search Mode
- Press Skip Up button (11) for the next track.
- Press Skip Down button (4) for the current track from the beginning or the previous track.
- Press and hold Skip Up or Down buttons (11/4) for fast forward or backward playback.
For MP3 Disc
- Follow the same operations as for CD playback.
- Use the “Folder” button on the remote to navigate to upper folders.
ID3 Tag Function (by remote handset)
Press the Info button (11) during MP3 playback to display song information (Artist, Album, File, Title). Press Info again to disable.
Remarks:
- If track names are not assigned, "none" or "unknown" will be displayed.
- The system supports English alphabet and numbers for ID3 text.
- MP3 bit rate requirement: 32 kbps - 256 kbps.
- MP3-CD search time may be longer than normal CDs due to format differences.
Play Mode (Repeat/Random)
Press the Play button (5) before or during playback to select modes:
- For CD: Repeat 1 (Rep1), Repeat All (RepA), Random (Rand), Off mode.
- For MP3 Disc: Repeat 1, Repeat 1 Folder, Repeat All Folders, Random, Off mode.
Repeat Play: Listen to a track or folder repeatedly.
Random Play: Listen to tracks or folders in a random order.
CD/MP3 Disc Programming (by remote control)
Program up to 20 tracks. Ensure the system is in stop mode before programming.
- Set to CD/USB/SD mode and stop playback.
- Press the “Program” button on the remote; "MEM" indicator will appear.
- Select a desired track using skip buttons.
- Press the “Program” button to store the track.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 for additional tracks.
- Press CD “Play/Pause” to play the programmed tracks.
- To cancel programming, press “Stop” button twice until "MEM" disappears.
Playback of MP3 Song via USB Storage Media
Connecting
The system can decode and play MP3 files from USB storage media.
- Turn on the unit (13) and select "USB mode".
- Plug in the USB drive correctly (face up, completely, straight). Warning: Incorrect insertion can damage the system or storage media.
- The system will read the media automatically, displaying track number and playback time.
- Playback procedures are similar to CD/MP3 disc playback.
Remarks:
- Only MP3 format files are supported via USB.
- Compatibility with some MP3 players may vary due to encoding format differences.
- USB port does not support extension cables or direct computer communication.
Listening to Tape
General Operation
Cassette playback starts automatically after inserting a tape.
Stop and Ejection
Press the "Tape forward/eject" button (17) completely inwards to eject the cassette. The button will remain depressed.
Fast Forward
Press the "Tape forward/eject" button (17) half inwards during playback to wind the tape forward. The button will remain half-pressed. Press again to resume normal playback.
Remarks:
- Ensure correct tape insertion direction.
- Fast forward mode may produce searching noise.
- Remove the cassette tape when not in use.
Phono (Turntable)
Remarks: Remove the stylus protector. Ensure the tone arm is detached from its rest and re-secured afterwards.
- Turn on the unit (13) and select "PHONO mode".
- Set the speed selector according to the record.
- Place the record on the platter (use spindle adaptor if needed).
- Lift the tone arm and move it to the record side; the platter will start rotating.
- Place the tone arm at the desired position on the record.
- Adjust the volume (9).
- At the end of the record, the platter stops automatically. Lift the tone arm to its rest.
- To stop manually, lift the tone arm to its rest.
Auto-stop Remark: If the auto-stop activates before the end of the record, set the auto-stop switch (24) to "off". The record will play to the end but will not stop automatically. Turn off the unit or switch the auto-stop back to "on" to stop the platter.
Line Out Connection
Connect the line out socket to your hi-fi system's auxiliary input using an RCA cable (not included).
Mute / EQ Operation
- Mute: Press the Mute button on the remote to mute speakers ("MUTE" on display). Press Mute again or adjust volume/EQ to cancel.
- EQ: Press the EQ button on the remote to select sound effects: Pop, Classic, Rock, Jazz, Flat. Select "Flat" to exit EQ mode.
Encoding of CD disc / Phono or Cassette tape into MP3 file
The system can encode CD, DAB/FM radio, records (Phono), and cassette tapes to MP3 format on a USB connecting port or SD/MMC card.
A) CD/MP3 Encoding
I) Recording 1 Track
- Plug in a USB pen drive with sufficient empty space.
- Play the desired CD track.
- Press the “Record“ button (7) during playback. The display will show “CHECK”, then “REC USB”.
- Press the “Record“ button twice; the display will show “REC ONE”.
- Press the “Record“ button a third time to start recording the track. Progress is shown from 01 to 100.
II) Recording the Complete CD/MP3
- Plug in a USB pen drive with sufficient empty space.
- Insert the CD and press “Stop“ button (12) to set in stop mode.
- Press the “Record“ button (7) during CD stop mode. The display will show “CHECK”, then “REC USB”.
- Press the “Record“ button a second time; the display will show “REC ALL”.
- Press the “Record“ button a third time to start recording all tracks on the CD. The unit will stop automatically.
B) Phono/Cassette Encoding
- Plug in a USB pen drive with sufficient empty space.
- Play the desired tape or record.
- Press the “Record“ button (7) three times until the display flashes “REC USB”.
- Start playback of the track you want to record to USB.
- Press the “Stop” button (12) once to terminate recording.
C) DAB/FM Encoding
- Plug in a USB pen drive with sufficient empty space.
- During DAB or FM playback, press the “Record“ button (7) twice until the display flashes “REC USB”.
- Press the “Stop” button (12) once to terminate recording.
Encoding Remarks:
- Recording speed is 1:1 (actual playing time).
- CD recording plays the song(s) during the process. MP3 disc recording is a copy process.
- Folders created: "RIP" (from CD), "FROMCD" (from CD-MP3), "REC" (from Phono/cassette/radio).
- Recording format: MP3, 128 kbps, 44.1kHz. No song title is recorded.
- Press "Stop" to interrupt recording. Encoding/copying must complete successfully.
File Delete at USB (by remote control)
A) Single File Delete
- Select "USB" mode.
- Press the "Delete" button on the remote (display shows "DEL -T001").
- Use Skip forward (▶▶) or Skip backward (◀◀) buttons to select the file.
- Press "Delete" to enter "YES/NO" mode. Use Skip buttons to select "YES" or "NO".
- Press "Delete" again to confirm.
B) All Files Delete
- Select "USB" mode.
- Press and hold the "Delete" button for 2-3 seconds (display shows "DEL - A").
- Press "Delete" to enter "YES/NO" mode. Use Skip buttons to select "YES" or "NO".
- Press "Delete" again to confirm.
Remark: All files on USB/SD card will be deleted after confirming "Yes". Press "Stop" once to quit delete mode.
Removing of USB
Turn off the power or switch the function mode to CD, Tape, or Tuner before unplugging the USB drive.
Remote Control Transmitter
Battery Installation: Requires 2x AAA batteries (not provided).
Button Functions:
- Power On/Off: Turns the unit on/off.
- CD door open / close: Opens/closes the CD door in CD mode.
- Record: Activates encoding or recording function.
- Skip/search up (▶▶): Skips to the next track. Hold for search forward.
- Skip/search down (◀◀): Skips to the previous track. Hold for search backward.
- Stop: Stops playback, cancels stored program, or stops recording (CD/USB mode).
- Play/pause / Enter: Starts playback or enters pause mode (CD/USB mode). Selects mono/auto FM mode (FM mode).
- Function (Func): Selects the function mode.
- Tuner/Menu +/-: Stores selected station (radio preset) or navigates menus.
- EQ: Selects different sound effects.
- P-Mode: Activates repeat/random playback modes (CD/USB mode).
- Menu: Enters language setting (DAB playing mode).
- Folder: Navigates to the upper folder during MP3 playback.
- Scan: Auto-searches for the next available DAB/FM station forward. Hold for backward search.
- Program: Activates programming function (CD/USB mode).
- Preset: Activates radio preset function (DAB/FM mode).
- Info: Activates ID3 tag display function (MP3 playback).
- Mute: Temporarily turns off sound output.
- Delete: Deletes single or all files (USB mode).
Warnings and Safety Instructions
- Read all instructions before use.
- For domestic indoor use only.
- Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes.
- Check thoroughly for any defects before use and do not use if defects are found.
- Take care not to drop the appliance, as heavy impacts may cause internal damage.
- Before connecting, check that the voltage indicated on the appliance matches your home's mains voltage.
- Check the appliance and power cable carefully for damage before each use.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning safe use and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

Plug Wiring (UK & Ireland)
This appliance is fitted with a BS 1363 13-amp plug. If replacing the fuse, use only ASTA or BSI approved fuses rated at 13-amps. Ensure the fuse cover is refitted after changing the fuse; do not use if the cover is lost or damaged. Spare fuses are available from electrical outlets.
If your home socket outlets are unsuitable for this plug, remove and dispose of the plug safely. Attempting to insert the plug into the wrong socket may cause electric hazard.
Wiring Instructions: The mains cable contains inner wires with copper cores and plastic outer layers. This product is double insulated and may only have Brown (Live) and Blue (Neutral) wires. The Green & Yellow (Earth) wire is not required for double insulated appliances.
Diagram Description: A correctly wired three-pin mains plug typically has a Brown wire connected to the Live terminal, a Blue wire to the Neutral terminal, and a Green & Yellow wire to the Earth terminal.
Care and Cleaning Instructions

Disposal
Dispose of all packaging, paper, cartons, plastic, and plastic bags in accordance with your local recycling regulations. At the end of the product's lifespan, dispose of it at an authorized household WEEE waste recycling centre.
