Initial Setup
- Read all important safeguards in the Safefy, Maintenance and Warranty booklet before use. Failure to do so may result in property damage and/or personal injury.
- ONLY use Air Fryer Lid with a compatible Instant Pot multi-use pressure cooker. You must use an Instant Pot stainless steel inner pot.
- Remove all packaging material from the appliance and ensure all parts and accessories are accounted for.
- Follow Care and Cleaning instructions in the Safety, Maintenance and Warranty booklet to clean the appliance before first use.
- Leave at least 5" / 13 cm of space around the appliance, and do not block the air vents.
- Do not remove safety warning stickers from the appliance.
Overloading electrical circuits can lead to fire, burns and injury. Do NOT plug in Air Fryer Lid and the Instant Pot Multi-Use Pressure Cooker base at the same time. Always unplug Instant Pot Multi-Use Pressure Cooker base BEFORE plugging in Air Fryer Lid.
To avoid personal injury or damage to property, only place the appliance on the protective pad provided, or on the Instant Pot® Multi-Use Pressure Cooker base.

Getting Started: Pressure Cooking
Pressure Cook Your Food First
Place food into the stainless steel inner pot, then insert the inner pot into the Instant Pot cooker base. Follow cooking instructions from your Instant Pot Multi-Use Pressure Cooker manual.

Always unplug the Instant Pot multi-use pressure cooker base BEFORE plugging in the Air Fryer Lid.
Place the Air Fryer Lid on the Instant Pot cooker base.

Getting Started: Air Frying
Air Fry Only
If not pressure cooking first, attach the air fryer basket to the air fryer basket base and insert them (or other oven-safe cookware) into the stainless steel inner pot, then add your food.

Operating the Air Fryer Lid
Place the Air Fryer Lid on the Instant Pot cooker base.

Select a Smart Program:
Choose from Air Fry, Broil, Bake, Roast, Reheat or Dehydrate.

Part way through the cooking cycle the lid beeps and the display indicates "turn Food".

Lift the Air Fryer Lid off the Instant Pot cooker base and place it on the protection pad provided.

Turn, flip, or rotate your food, then place the Air Fryer Lid on the Instant Pot cooker base to resume cooking.

More Controls
Cancel
Press to stop a Smart Program at any time. Display returns to Standby and indicates OFF.
Sound On/Off
Press and hold + over Time until the display indicates S On (Sound On) or SOFF (Sound Off).
? Note: Error alerts cannot be silenced.Temp. Display °F/°C
When in Standby (OFF), press and hold + above Temp until the display indicates F or C. The unit indicated is the current selection.
Smart Program Functional Reset
When in Standby, press and hold one of the Smart Program functional keys (Air Fry, Broil, Roast, Reheat, Dehydrate) until the Air Fryer Lid beeps. The desired function is reset to default setting.
Full Reset
When in Standby (OFF), press and hold Cancel until the Air Fryer Lid beeps. All Smart Programs are reset to default settings.
Smart Programs
Depending on your recipe, food may be placed in the multi-level air fryer basket, or directly in the inner pot. Smart Programs are preset to specific times and temperatures. These can be changed by pressing + / - of Temp and Time. The default setting and change range of each Smart Program function is as follows:

These preset times and temperatures are based on common cooking times. Always follow a trusted recipe, as time and temperature will vary based on food type and quantity.
