Mark4-7 Inch Instruction Manual
Arm Installation
Install the arms, screws, and MR30 connector.
Components required: M3x12 screws, M3x16 screws, MR30 connector.
Ensure the MR30 connector is properly plugged in.
Unlock Switch and Configuration
After successful linking, connect to the Betaflight ground station. Navigate to the 'Mode' option and test each function switch on the remote control. When the yellow cursor moves within the set range, the corresponding function will be activated.
Example configuration:
- ARM: AUX1, Range: 900-1250
- ANGLE: AUX2, Range: 1300-1650
- HORIZON: AUX2, Range: 1750-2100
- BEEPER: AUX3, Range: 1750-2100
Note: Hold unused modes.
Reverse Motor Direction
Disconnect Betaflight. Power on the quadcopter. The default motor rotation is forward.
To check or reverse motor direction, refer to the Betaflight configuration or specific receiver/flight controller instructions. The diagram shows motors numbered 1 through 4.
TBS Nano RX Receiver Binding
Follow these steps to bind the TBS Nano RX Receiver:
- While powering on the receiver, press and hold its Bind button until the green light rapidly flashes. Release the Bind button.
- Press and hold the receiver's Bind button again for 8 seconds, then release it.
- Wait for the green indicator light on the receiver to turn off and the red light to flash slowly.
- On the remote control screen, you should see a prompt like "Update micro RX?". Select 'ENTER'.
- Wait for the update and automatic binding process to complete.
- Once successfully bound, the remote control will display "Binding Ok" and the TBS Nano RX receiver indicator will show a successful connection.
ELRS Receiver Binding
For ELRS Receivers, it is recommended to ensure the tuner and receiver firmware are consistent. If inconsistent, upgrade the firmware.
- To activate binding mode, power cycle the receiver three times. A successful activation is indicated by the receiver's LED rapidly flashing twice.
- If using a RadioMaster TX12 transmitter, access the TOOLS interface by long-pressing the SYS key. Navigate to 'ExpressLRS', then select the 'Bind' button within the ExpressLRS Lua script. This action sends a binding pulse.
- A popup may briefly appear and then disappear.
- If the receiver's LED indicator turns solid, the binding process has been successfully completed.
RAD VTX 5.8G 1.6w / 5.8G 2.5W Settings
The VTX features two buttons with the same function for easy operation. It includes a power indicator light, band indicator light, and CH indicator light.
1. Frequency
The frequency is indicated by LED color and channel number (CH1-CH8). Blue LED indicates different channels with corresponding flashes (Flash 1X for CH1, Flash 2X for CH2, etc.).
2. Frequency Band
Universal frequency bands (Band A, B, E, F, R) are available, each with specific frequencies. The LED color (Green) indicates the band, with flashes corresponding to channels within that band.
LED Color | Band | CH1 | CH2 | CH3 | CH4 | CH5 | CH6 | CH7 | CH8 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Green | Band A (BOSCAM) | 5865MHz | 5845MHz | 5825MHz | 5805MHz | 5785MHz | 5765MHz | 5745MHz | 5725MHz |
Green | Band B (BOSCAM) | 5733MHz | 5752MHz | 5771MHz | 5790MHz | 5809MHz | 5828MHz | 5847MHz | 5866MHz |
Green | Band E (BOSCAM) | 5705MHz | 5685MHz | 5665MHz | 5645MHz | 5885MHz | 5905MHz | 5925MHz | 5945MHz |
Green | Band F (FATSHARK) | 5740MHz | 5760MHz | 5780MHz | 5800MHz | 5820MHz | 5840MHz | 5860MHz | 5880MHz |
Green | Band R (RACEBAND) | 5658MHz | 5695MHz | 5732MHz | 5769MHz | 5806MHz | 5843MHz | 5880MHz | 5917MHz |
3. Power
The VTX supports power levels from 25mW up to 1600mW (for 1.6W models) or 2500mW (for 2.5W models). The Red LED indicates power levels with corresponding flashes (Flash 1X for 25mW, Flash 2X for 200mW, etc.).
LED Color | Power Level |
---|---|
Red | 25mW |
Red | 200mW |
Red | 600mW |
Red | 1600mW |
Red | 2500mW |
Manual Setting:
- To enter frequency selection: Press and hold for 3 seconds. The blue light will flash 3 times.
- To enter frequency band selection: Press and hold for 3 seconds. The green light will flash 3 times.
- To enter power selection: Press and hold for 3 seconds. The red light will flash 3 times.
Propeller Steering and Installation
Proper installation of propellers is crucial for flight stability. Ensure propellers are installed in the correct orientation: Clockwise (CW) and Counter-Clockwise (CCW).
The diagram shows two types of propellers: CW propellers (x2) and CCW propellers (x2).
Install propellers according to the motor rotation direction.
Pre-Flight Checklist
Before powering on and flying, please complete the following checks:
- Install the antenna before powering on the drone.
- Verify that the propellers are oriented correctly and ensure the propeller nuts are securely tightened.
- Ensure the battery is securely strapped to the quadcopter. Check that the battery's balance connector is neatly arranged and secured to prevent interference.
- Check the battery voltage. For a fully charged 4S battery, the voltage should be 16.8V. For a 6S battery, it should be 25.2V.
- Turn on the remote control, select the correct model, ensure the unlock switch is in the locked state, and the throttle position is at the lowest.
- Activate your FPV goggles or screen and scan for any frequency interference.
- Maintain a safe distance of at least 3 meters to test the unlocking and observe if the propellers rotate after the quadcopter is powered on.
- Please fly in a safe, designated area where no people are present.
