General Safety Instructions
Read all instructions before use. Keep this manual for future reference.
- This product is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children.
- Use only in well-ventilated areas.
- Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C (122°F).
- Do not puncture or incinerate, even when empty.
- Do not use near open flames, hot surfaces, or flammable materials.
- Ensure the torch is completely cool before storing.
- Do not attempt to modify or repair the torch.
- Handle with care to avoid dropping or damage.
- Always point the torch away from yourself and others when operating.

Operating Instructions
To operate the Zippo Butane Torch:
- Ensure the torch is properly filled with butane.
- Hold the torch upright and point the nozzle away from any person or flammable object.
- Press and hold the ignition button. The flame will ignite.
- To adjust the flame height, turn the adjustment dial located near the nozzle. Turn clockwise for a higher flame and counter-clockwise for a lower flame.
- To turn off the torch, release the ignition button. The flame will extinguish.

Filling Instructions
To refill the Zippo Butane Torch:
- Ensure the torch is completely cool and turned off.
- Turn the torch upside down.
- Locate the filling valve at the base of the torch.
- Insert the nozzle of the butane canister firmly into the filling valve.
- Press the butane canister down for 5-10 seconds to fill. Repeat if necessary, allowing the torch to rest between fills.
- Allow the torch to sit upright for a few minutes before igniting to allow gas to stabilize.
- If the torch is overfilled, wait for excess butane to evaporate before igniting.

Adjusting the Flame
The flame height can be adjusted using the adjustment dial:
- Turn the dial clockwise to increase flame height.
- Turn the dial counter-clockwise to decrease flame height.
- Adjust to the desired flame size for your application. A small, stable flame is recommended for most tasks.

Troubleshooting
Torch does not ignite:
- Ensure the torch is filled with butane.
- Check if the adjustment dial is set too low.
- Ensure the ignition button is being pressed correctly.
Flame is weak or sputtering:
- The torch may need refilling.
- The flame adjustment may be set too low.
- Ensure the butane is at room temperature.
Torch leaks butane:
- Ensure the filling valve is properly sealed after filling.
- If leakage persists, discontinue use and contact Zippo customer support.
Product Care and Maintenance
- Clean the exterior of the torch with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Ensure the torch is completely cool and empty before long-term storage.
