Advanced Programming Mode

Explanation of Advanced Timer Features

Preset Options: Users have two options for the timer's preset duration setting: Locked Preset and Unlocked Preset.

  • Locked Preset: When programmed for a locked preset, the timer will always return to the predetermined "locked" setting each time it turns off, either by a single button press or by countdown expiry.
  • Unlocked Preset: When programmed for an unlocked preset, the timer will return to the duration setting it was last set to when the timer was activated.

What do you want? If you frequently use the same duration setting and do not want to change it each time you use the timer, choose the Locked Preset option. If you frequently use different duration settings, select the Unlocked Preset option.

Bypass Options: Users have two options for the timer's maximum level, accessed by pressing the push button once or twice: the "On" setting (Activate Bypass) and the 45-minute setting (Deactivate Bypass).

What do you want? If you want the timer to always expire when activated by pressing the push button, select the "Deactivate Bypass" option. This is useful in situations where you want the timer to always turn off automatically, even if the user presses the button twice. If you want to be able to access the "On" setting, select the "Activate Bypass" option.

Load Flashing Option: When this option is activated, the load flashes for one second when the timer reaches one minute.

What do you want? If the timer is connected to a lighting load, this provides a more visible indication (the connected lighting load will flash) that the countdown is at 1 minute. Note: Not recommended for a fan load.

Using the Advanced Programming Mode

The Advanced Programming Mode consists of two operating modes for user interaction: the Main Menu mode and the Selection mode.

  • Main Menu Mode: Allows the user to choose the feature they wish to modify.
  • Selection Mode: Allows the user to modify the parameter for the feature selected in the Main Menu mode.

Note: Once a feature is modified, the change is saved immediately.

Accessing Main Menu Mode (Refer to the image on Page 1):

  1. Pull the FASS switch to the "Off" position.
  2. Press and hold the product's push button (B).
  3. Push the FASS switch to the "On" position while keeping the button pressed for approximately 5 seconds. The bottom TIL will flash to indicate entry into Advanced Programming Mode. The load will also be activated in APM.

Note: If there is no activity for 1 minute, the timer will automatically exit Advanced Programming Mode.

Accessing Selection Menu Mode:

  1. Press the [up-arrow] or [down-arrow] rocker to change the TIL position to indicate the feature you wish to modify:
    • TIL3: Load Flashing Option
    • TIL2: Bypass Option
    • TIL1: Preset Option
  2. Press the push button (B) once, and the feature will be selected for modification.

Diagram Description: The switch display shows TILs corresponding to options: TIL3 for Load Flashing, TIL2 for Bypass, and TIL1 for Preset.
