Assemble xTool D1 Pro
Follow these steps to assemble your xTool D1 Pro:
- Connect the frame components (A, B, C, D) as shown in the diagrams. Ensure proper alignment.
- Attach the shafts to the frame.
- Use screws to set the tension of the timing belts. Do not fully tighten them to avoid damaging the belts. If the shaft is difficult to insert, the belt may be too tight; adjust the screw.
- Keep a small distance between the coupling and the motor for proper rotation and to prevent noise.
- Slide the two sliders down against the front plate.
- Fully tighten the two screws. Pay attention to the front and back sides of the connector for proper insertion.
- Cut off the white cable ties and keep the black ones.
- Attach the laser module to the frame using the thumb screw. Turn the handle clockwise to tighten, hold to draw away from the thread, rotate to stop blockage, release, and repeat if necessary.
- If the handle is blocked, tighten or loosen the screw by rotating the handle.
- Insert the TF card before use. Functions like Wi-Fi processing, offline processing, and framing may fail without it.

- For the 40 W laser module:
Tip: Settings are tested in a laboratory environment and are for reference only. Settings may vary by material; test materials before processing.
Download and Install Software
Download xTool Creative Space (XCS) from xtool.com/software or use the third-party software LightBurn (purchase required).
Create with Example Projects
xTool D1 Pro comes with a material pack to get you started. Scan the QR code or navigate to Support > xTool D1 Pro > xTool D1 Pro Example Project Files & Tutorials within XCS to find example projects and tutorials.
Tip: Before creating, test parameter settings and engraving performance to prevent material waste. For valuable items, test on a substitute material.
Use Rotary Attachment 2
Connect xTool D1 Pro to Rotary Attachment 2 to engrave cylindrical or irregular materials. It requires specific device and software. For usage details, visit support.xtool.com.
Level Reference:
- Level A: 3 mm ≤ diameter ≤ 50 mm
- Level B: 45 mm ≤ diameter ≤ 60 mm
- Level C: diameter > 60 mm
Set the level: Adjust the level of the Rotary Attachment 2 based on the material's diameter. Use the changing of the level from C to B as an example.
Tip: Place Rotary Attachment 2 parallel to the working area. Set its level based on the material's diameter before connecting it to xTool D1 Pro.
Use the Support Module
The support module is for processing irregular objects or objects too long for Rotary Attachment 2. Place the support module as required.
Set the support module: Turn the knob clockwise to move support wheels upward, or counterclockwise to move them downward.
Clean the Laser Module
For the 20W laser module: Clean the inner and outer frames of the light shield, lens, and red light outlet every hour of use.
Clean the laser module when the light shield is dirty or laser beams cannot cut material.
- Turn off the device and remove the laser module.
- Remove the nozzle and its connector from the laser module.
- Clean the inner and outer frames of the light shield with tissues or dust-free cloth moistened with alcohol. Clean the lens and red light outlet with a cotton swab moistened with alcohol.
