Fermax Placa Marine Ref. 1455 Installer Manual
This document is the Installer Manual for the PLACA MARINE Ref. 1455, version V02.10. It includes installation and programming instructions.
1 DESCRIPTION
The Fermax Placa Marine Ref. 1455 is a video door entry system with the following components:
- Altavoz (Speaker): For audio output.
- Cámara (Camera): 1.2Mpx high-definition camera with illumination for night vision.
- Estado de la red LAN (LAN Status): Indicates if the LAN network is available (lights up if no LAN is available).
- Pantalla TFT de 4.3" (4.3" TFT Display): Touchscreen interface.
- Teclado de marcación (Dialing Keypad): For entering numbers and commands.
- Micrófono (Microphone): For two-way audio communication.
- Lector Mifare (Mifare Reader): For authorized card access.
Note: Residents can access the entrance by identifying themselves with their authorized Mifare card. The door will open. The MIFARE identifier must be added to the system using the FERMAX MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE. It supports up to 100,000 identifiers. The WIEGAND connection allows integration of this MIFARE reader into third-party Access Control Systems, and also the integration of third-party readers with the MARINE plate using the same WIEGAND connection.
2 PROGRAMACIÓN MEDIANTE NAVEGADOR WEB (Web Browser Programming)
To program the MARINE plate, access is required via a PC with a web browser. Chrome is the preferred browser.
The PC must be connected to the same LAN as the plate, and configured with an IP address in the same range. The default IP address for the MARINE plate is 10.1.0.1.
Enter the plate's IP address in the browser's address bar. A login form will appear.
Default login credentials:
- Username: admin
- Password: 123456
The programming interface is divided into several sections:
2.1 DISPOSITIVO (Device)
This section provides technical information about the plate.
- PLACA FERMAX MARINE: Device type.
- FIRMWARE: Installed firmware version.
- DISPOSITIVO: Plate type and number.
- Nº DE SERIE (Serial Number): Unique identification number of the plate.
- MAC: MAC address of the plate.
- IP: IP address assigned to this plate.
2.2 GENERAL
This section allows configuring the identification parameters of the MARINE plate within an installation. It also allows setting the date and time.
TIPO (Type): Select plate identification parameters. Options vary based on the selected plate type.
PLACA DE ENTRADA GENERAL (General Entrance Plate): Installed at the general entrances of a development.
- TIPO: ENTRADA GRAL
- N° DE EQUIPO (Unit Number): Corresponds to the general entrance number (1-9000). Default is 1 for a single entrance.
PLACA DE ENTRADA DE BLOQUE (Block Entrance Plate): Installed at an individual building or block entrance.
- TIPO: PLACA DE BLOQUE
- BLOQUE (Block): Block number (1-999). Default is 1 for individual blocks.
- N° EQUIPO (Unit Number): Entrance number within the block (1-99). Default is 1 for blocks with a single entrance.
IDIOMA (Language): Select the desired language from the dropdown list. Default is ENGLISH. Refresh the page after changing the language.
VOLUMEN (Volume): Select the audio conversation volume level (1-5). This volume is common for both street and apartment sides.
SINTETIZADOR DE VOZ (Voice Synthesizer): Enables or disables the voice prompt indicating the door is open. Default is enabled.
RESOLUCIÓN (Resolution): Adjusts the image resolution to match the monitor. Default is 640x480.
MODO DESVIO SIP (SIP Forwarding Mode): Forwards calls to SIP devices. Consult the SIP CALL section for details.
- PARALELO (Parallel): When a call is made from the plate, the apartment monitor and any associated SIP device ring simultaneously. The call stops ringing on other devices once answered.
- SECUENCIAL (Sequential): The apartment monitor rings for 30 seconds. If unanswered, the call is forwarded to associated SIP devices, which then start ringing.
LLAMADA A CONSERJES (Call to Concierge): Choose one of three options:
- PULSE CAMPANA PARA LLAMAR (Press Bell to Call): Visitor presses the bell button to call the concierge.
- PULSE NÚMERO PARA LLAMAR (Press Number to Call): Visitor enters the concierge number displayed on the screen, then presses the bell button.
- SIN CONSERJERÍA (No Concierge): No concierge information is displayed.
CONCIERGES: Select the concierge number (9901-9910) that will receive concierge calls from this plate.
FORMATO FECHA (Date Format): Sets the date display format.
FECHA (Date): Manual date adjustment.
HORA (Time): Manual time adjustment.
ZONA HORARIA (Time Zone): Adjusts the time zone. Select and save.
HORARIO DE VERANO (Daylight Saving Time): Enable during DST periods, disable in winter.
Notes:
- If FERMAX MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE is available, the plate's date and time will synchronize automatically. If the plate has internet access enabled, date and time will also synchronize with an internet time server.
- If MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE is not available and the plate has no internet connection, the installer must adjust date and time manually. Do not use the TIME ZONE option in this case.
- Date and time are not saved after a power outage unless connected to the internet or MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE. Date and time format selections are always retained.
- The SAVE buttons for general options and date/time options are separate.
2.3 CONFIGURACIÓN DE RED LAN (LAN Network Configuration)
This section configures the LAN parameters.
- IP: Assigned IP address for the plate.
- MÁSCARA (Mask): Subnet mask for the LAN.
- GATEWAY: LAN gateway.
- DNS: Valid DNS server for the LAN. Default is 8.8.8.8.
- IP DEL SOFTWARE (Software IP): IP address of the PC with FERMAX MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE installed.
- PIN DEL SOFTWARE (Software PIN): Access PIN for FERMAX MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE. Default is 123456.
Notes:
- The MEET system uses static IP addressing for unique IP addresses within an installation.
- If a device is assigned an IP address already in use, a “CONFLICTO IP” (IP CONFLICT) warning will appear on the plate's screen, along with the MAC address of the conflicting device. Both devices will not function correctly until the conflict is resolved.
2.4 ACCESO (Access)
This section configures access control functionalities.
- TIEMPO RELÉ PUERTA (Door Relay Time): Duration of the door opener relay activation (1-9 seconds).
- RETRASO RELÉ (Relay Delay): Time delay between sending the door opener command and its actual activation (0-9 seconds). Useful when the door is not adjacent to the panel.
- ALARMA PUERTA ABIERTA (Door Open Alarm): Triggers an acoustic alarm if the door remains open longer than the set time. Options: DISABLED, 30s, 60s, 120s, 180s, 250s.
- ALARMA PUERTA FORZADA (Forced Door Alarm): Triggers an acoustic alarm if forced door opening is detected.
- APERTURA EXTERNA (External Opening): Available only on PLACA 1. Activates or deactivates the additional relay functionality. Requires Module Ref. 1491 connected to the RS-485 port of PLACA 1. See INSTALLATION section.
- TIEMPO RELÉ PUERTA 1-4 (Door Relay Time 1-4): Activation time for additional relays (1-9 seconds).
- 1-4 RETRASO RELÉ PUERTA 1-4 (Relay Delay 1-4): Delay time for additional relay activation (0-9 seconds).
- TARJETA ADMIN (Admin Card): Admin/master card identification code to enable user access cards. Useful if FERMAX MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE is not used. If the code is unknown, enter “0000”. The first card presented will become the admin/master card.
- DESARM. TARJETA (Disarm Card): When a user card (added via FERMAX MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE) is presented, the apartment monitor's alarm system changes to HOME mode.
- CODIGO INVITADO (Guest Code): Enables or disables the guest code function. Requires connection to a third-party Access Control system via Module Ref. 1394. See INSTALLATION section.
- WIEGAND: Protocol for Wiegand transmission (BURST or 26 BITS). Configure according to the third-party Access Control system.
- FACILITY: Configure according to the third-party Access Control system.
- PIN DE ACCESO (Access PIN): Enables or disables door opener activation via PIN code entry. Supports up to 8 different PIN codes (4-6 digits each).
2.5 RECONOCIMIENTO FACIAL (Facial Recognition)
Enable or disable the facial recognition function. Requires FERMAX MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE V01.05 for programming and managing user photos. The system supports up to 6,000 faces.
- RECON FACIAL (Facial Recognition): Enable/disable the function.
- MODELO (Model): 5.0 for this version. Do not use 6.0.
- DETECCIÓN DE VIDA (Liveness Detection): Enable/disable to prevent false detections from photos.
- COINCIDENCIA (Match): High, medium, or low. Default is low.
Notes: The MEET facial recognition system uses a 2D identification system, capable of differentiating between photos and live faces under certain conditions. While it can be used for door opening, it does not guarantee maximum security or 100% reliability.
2.6 CAMARAS IP (IP Cameras)
The MEET monitor can switch between up to 4 IP CCTV cameras during communication with the street plate to view adjacent areas from different angles. This section configures these IP CCTV cameras using RTSP protocol.
- Nº CAMARAS (Number of Cameras): Enter 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4. Corresponding fields will appear.
- CAMARA 1-4 (Camera 1-4): Name assigned to the IP camera.
- URL: Format:
rtsp://username:password@camera_ip
. For cameras requiring identification, include username and password. Consult the camera's technical documentation for URL format variations.
2.7 SIP
Configure the MARINE plate for SIP functionalities, such as mobile call forwarding using the FERMAX-MEET ME APP, or to function as a terminal in a third-party SIP system using SIP protocol instead of FERMAX MEET protocol.
Configuration for smartphone forwarding using the FERMAX MEET ME APP:
- ACTIVAR SIP (Activate SIP): Check to enable SIP functions.
- SERVIDOR SIP (SIP Server): Use FERMAX MEET server:

. - DOMINIO (Domain): Server domain:
sip.fermax.com
. - OUTBOUND: Not required. Leave blank.
- STUN IP: Not required. Leave blank.
- STUN PORT: Not required. Leave blank.
- H.264: Default value.
- USUARIO SIP, PASS SIP (SIP User, SIP Pass): Enter the license username and password for the MEET ME license assigned to this plate (found on a label on the plate).
- CONVERSACIÓN, TIEMPO DE LLAMADA (Conversation, Call Time): Not operational.
Configuration for integration with a SIP server: Configure the plate as a SIP server extension. Contact the SIP system administrator for necessary information.
- SIP SERVER: SIP server address (e.g.,
sip:IP_SERVER
). - DOMAIN: SIP server domain.
- OUTBOUND: Not required. Leave blank.
- STUN IP: SIP server domain.
- STUN PORT: Used for SIP server connections over the internet. Typically port 5060. Consult network or SIP server administrator.
- H.264: Depends on the SIP server. Use default if unsure.
- USUARIO SIP, PASS SIP (SIP User, SIP Pass): Enter the username and password with which this plate is registered on the SIP server.
- CONVERSACION, TIEMPO DE LLAMADA (Conversation, Call Time): Not operational.
2.8 SIP TRUNK
Defines configuration for when a VoIP gateway is installed on a network connected to a PSTN line. Calls from the plate will be forwarded to a mobile or landline phone via the VoIP gateway.
- ACTIVAR SIP TRUNK (Activate SIP Trunk): Check to enable SIP TRUNK functionality.
- URL: Device URL. Format:
sip:account@domain:port
orsip:account@ip_address:port
.
2.9 LLAMADAS SIP (SIP Calls)
Allows making calls to mobile devices (smartphones) when no MEET monitor is associated with a dwelling. Requires a MEET ME license (Ref. 1496) per dwelling. Up to 8 smartphones can receive calls simultaneously. It's also possible to make simultaneous calls to various MEET devices and/or third-party SIP devices using SIP protocol.
A CSV file with device information must be imported to the plate.
CSV File Generation and Import Procedure:
- Select EXPORTAR (Export) to generate a blank CSV table and save it to your PC. Rename the file or use the default name (e.g., MEET CALL DIVERT PXXX-YY.csv).
- Open the CSV file with Microsoft Excel.
- Cell A1 should contain "APARTMENT, NAME,". Do not modify.
- Use subsequent cells (A2, A3, etc.) to enter device data for call forwarding. The format depends on the call type:
- FERMAX MEET LICENSE: APARTMENT,

(XXXXXXX is the license number). - MEET device in the same installation: APARTMENT,
sip:XXX@IP_DEVICE
(XXX is device identifier, IP_DEVICE is the monitor's IP). - Third-party SIP device (via SIP server): APARTMENT,
sip:username@IP_SIP_SERVER
(username is the SIP server registration, IP_SIP_SERVER is the SIP server IP). - Multiple forwarding formats can be assigned to the same apartment using different rows in the same column.
- FERMAX MEET LICENSE: APARTMENT,
- Save the completed table and upload it to the plate by clicking “Seleccionar archivo” (Select file), locating the CSV, and clicking “IMPORTAR” (Import). A message “EXPORTACIÓN EXITOSA” (EXPORT SUCCESSFUL) will appear.

Note on Non-Latin Languages: For non-Latin languages (e.g., Chinese, Russian, Arabic, Hebrew), export a blank CSV, open with Notepad, copy the directory list in the desired script, save as .CSV (UTF-8), and import via the web server. Do not use Microsoft Excel for non-Latin scripts to avoid formatting issues.
2.10 ADVANCED
This section allows advanced adjustments, such as quick dial and directory calls.
- LLAMADA RÁPIDA (Quick Dial): Not functional in this model.
- URL: Not functional in this model.
- ONU (GPON): Required for large installations based on SIP protocol (GPON).
- AGENDA (Directory): The MARINE plate allows using a directory to call dwellings. Visitors can select the owner's name to call directly. A CSV file with owner names and dwelling numbers must be imported.
Directory CSV Generation and Import Procedure:
- Select EXPORTAR (Export) to generate a blank CSV file and save it. Rename it or use the default name (agenda.csv).
- Open the CSV file with Microsoft Excel.
- Cell A1 should contain "APARTMENT, NAME,". Do not modify.
- Fill in subsequent cells (A2, A3, etc.) with the apartment number and owner name (format: "Apartment number", "user name").
- Save and upload the table to the plate via “Seleccionar archivo” and “IMPORTAR”. Wait for “IMPORTACIÓN EXITOSA” (IMPORT SUCCESSFUL).
BUSQUEDA DE USUARIOS (User Search): With this function enabled, visitors can search for the owner's name by initial as a shortcut.
2.11 CODIGO PIN (PIN Code)
Change the INSTALLER PIN (password) required for accessing plate configuration via web browser.
- Enter the current PIN, the new PIN, and confirm. The PIN can be alphanumeric and up to 200 characters long. Select SAVE to finish.
Note: Record the new PIN. If lost or forgotten, contact FERMAX Technical Department for recovery instructions. All programmed configuration will be lost.
2.12 ACCESO QR (QR Access)
This functionality is not available in Firmware version V2.10. It is recommended to keep it disabled to prevent the function icon from appearing on the MARINE plate's screen.
2.13 RESTAURAR (Restore)
Perform a remote reset of the KIN plate or restore factory settings. Confirmation is required for both actions.
- RESTAURAR LA CONFIGURACIÓN DE FÁBRICA (Restore Factory Settings): The plate will automatically turn off and on with factory default settings. Default values include:
- GENERAL: BLOQUE 1, DISPOSITIVO: 1, APARTAMENTO: 101, IDIOMA: ENGLISH, RESOLUCIÓN DE VIDEO: 640 x 480, PASSWORD DE INSTALADOR: 123456.
- RED (Network): IP: 10.1.0.1, MASCARA: 255.0.0.0, GATEWAY: 10.254.0.1, DNS: 8.8.8.8, SOFTWARE IP: 10.0.0.200.
- REINICIO DEL DISPOSITIVO (Device Reboot): The plate will turn off and on, retaining previous configuration values. The device will lose PC connection during reboot. Refresh the web after about 60 seconds to reconnect.
2.14 CERRRAR SESIÓN (Log Out)
Log out from the current session with the plate. Identification will be required again upon next access.
3 FUNCIONAMIENTO (Operation)
The MARINE plate's screen is interactive. The display shows information based on programming settings when a person approaches or presses a button.
Idle screen examples:
- Display showing time and date.
- Display showing call information: "Llamar: número+" (Call: number+).
- Display showing concierge call: "Llamada a conserje:" (Call to concierge:).
- Display showing menu access: "Acceso al menú Por favor presione: A ►" (Menu Access Please press: A ►).
Function icons can be selected from the menu. The displayed icons depend on installer settings. Refer to the WEB BROWSER PROGRAMMING section for details.
TECLADO NUMÉRICO (Numeric Keypad)
Calls to dwellings are made using apartment numbers. Dial the apartment number and press the "bell" key.
The keypad can also be used for the directory or functions (access code, facial recognition, etc.):
- AA: Facial recognition
- A0: Access code
- A7: Guest code
- A8: Directory
INFORMACIÓN EN PANTALLA (On-Screen Information)
Basic device information is available on the screen.
- Example 1: "Marque n° 9999, seguido de la tecla B" (Dial 9999, followed by key B).
- Example 2: Screen displays basic adjustment information:
- Firmware Version
- General Settings
- Serial Number
- MAC Address
- IP Address
3.1 Iconos de función (Function Icons)
Depending on programming and installation features, the screen displays function icons. Up to 4 icons are visible. Arrow keys can be used to view additional hidden icons.
Select the desired function icon and press key B.
Icono RECONOCIMIENTO FACIAL (Facial Recognition Icon)
Users can be identified by facial recognition. Access MENU using arrow keys, select RECONOCIMIENTO FACIAL, press B, or directly dial AA from the idle screen. The facial recognition interface will appear. The user must remain in front of the plate for a few seconds. If the user is recognized, the plate will open.
Note: Facial recognition requires prior programming using FERMAX MEET MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE.
Icono AGENDA (Directory Icon)
Allows using an electronic directory to select and call a dwelling by the owner's name. Access MENU using arrow keys, select AGENDA, press B, or directly dial A8 from the idle screen. The directory interface will appear, allowing selection by arrow keys and calling by pressing "campana" (bell).
A quick search is possible by pressing the number corresponding to the initial of the desired name.
Note: Requires prior programming. See WEB BROWSER PROGRAMMING section.
Icono CODIGO DE INVITADOS (Guest Code Icon)
Allows visitors to open the door by entering a pre-provided PIN code for temporary access.
Access MENU using arrow keys, select CODIGO DE INVITADOS, press B, or directly dial A7 from the idle screen. The guest code interface will appear. Guests enter the correct code, and the plate opens automatically. An incorrect code entry will display "Código inválido" (Invalid code).
Note: Requires the MODULO CODIGO INVITADOS Ref. 1494 to be installed.
Icono PIN DE ACCESO (Access PIN Icon)
Allows users to open the door by entering an ACCESS PIN code (4-6 digits). The plate supports up to 8 different PIN codes programmed by the installer.
Access MENU using arrow keys, select PIN DE ACCESO, press B, or directly dial A0 from the idle screen. The PIN code interface will appear. Users enter the correct code for automatic door opening. An incorrect code entry will display "Código inválido" (Invalid code).
4 INSTALLACION (Installation)
4.1 Instalación de la caja de empotrar (Recessed Box Installation)
Install the recessed box at a height of 1.70 meters from the ground.

4.3 Conectores (Connectors)
The MARINE plate connects via Ethernet (LAN) and MOLEX connectors (power, RS-485, etc.). A bag with female connectors and cables is supplied.
POWER INPUT: 12 Vcc or PoE for cases without LAN PoE.
OUTPUT: Relay output for door opener activation.
- NC: Normally Closed contact.
- NO: Normally Open contact.
- C: Common contact.
- NOTE: NC and C contacts are internally duplicated.
EX PROXIMITY:
- (WD0-WD1) Wiegand input/output.
- (+5V, -) Auxiliary 5 Vcc output.
Exit Button/Fire/Door Sensor:
- (EXIT, -) Connections for the interior door release button.
- (F, -) Fire alarm contact input and door unlocking.
- (DS, -) Connections for door open sensor.
RS485: Output for 4-RELAY MODULE Ref. 1491 / ASCENSOR CONTROL GATEWAY Ref. 9545, GUEST CODE MODULE Ref. 1494, or EXTERNAL RELAY Ref. 1490. (Ref. 1490 acts as a parallel relay).
RJ 45 Network: RJ-45 connection for LAN or LAN PoE.
NOTES: EXIT, FIRE, and DS utilization requires installer programming. Refer to the WEB BROWSER PROGRAMMING section. The EXIT button allows users to open the door from the inside. The FIRE input on PLACA No 1 must connect to a relay output from a third-party fire alarm control panel. If this alarm triggers, an acoustic alarm will sound on all plates in the block, and doors will unlock.
If a door open sensor (DS) is installed, an alarm signal will sound on the plate and at the concierge if the door remains open longer than programmed, or if forced.
The plate has a tamper system. If the plate is removed from the wall, an acoustic alarm will sound on the plate, at the concierge, and in the MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE (if available).
4.4 Esquemas básicos (Basic Diagrams)
Illustrates basic wiring diagrams using PoE Switch and non-PoE Switch, including power supply and door opener connections.
4.5 Esquema de instalación del MODULO 4 RELES REF. 1491 (Installation Diagram for 4-RELAY MODULE Ref. 1491)
This module is necessary to activate additional relays (up to 4) from the dwelling monitors, for example, to open additional doors or gates. Module Ref. 1491 must be connected to PLACA No 1 of the block.

6 ΑΝΕΧΟ (Annex)
6.1 Actualizaciones de firmware (Firmware Updates)
Firmware updates may be necessary for improvements or corrections. FERMAX Technical Department provides information on new firmware releases.
Firmware updates are performed using the MEET System Upgraded Tool V1.2.exe application.
Procedure:
- Run MEET System Upgraded Tool V1.2.exe.
- Click the button and navigate to the corresponding .IMG firmware file. Up to 3 .IMG files can be selected simultaneously.
- Enter the IP address range of the plates (must be sequential).
- Select Start. The new firmware will install, and the plate will automatically reset.
6.2 Normativa (Regulations)
RADIO FREQUENCY MODULE. EC DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY: FERMAX ELECTRÓNICA, S.A.U. declares that this product complies with the requirements of RED 2014/53/EU Directive “Radio frequency equipment”.
