Playable Discs

The player supports various disc formats:

• DVD-video: Playable, with restrictions on region numbers (Region 2 or All).
• CD: Playable, supports PCM or DTS digital out.
• CD-G: Playable, supports Audio/Graphic playback.
• CD-R, CD-RW: Playable, compatible with CD/MP3.
• DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW: Playable, supports DVD video.
• DVD-RAM: Not playable.
• JPEG: Playable, with disc capacity and file size limits (over 4MB disc capacity, under 1MB per file).
• CD/MP3: Playable, except for Windows format.

Disc Structure

• DVD: Divided into Disc, Title, and Chapter. A Title is the main movie, and Chapters are smaller segments within a title for searching.
• CD: Divided into Disc and Track. Tracks are numbered for search functions.

Region Management Information

This player is designed for Region 2 DVDs. It will also play discs marked as 'ALL' regions. Discs from other regions may not be playable.

Before Operation

Prepare the unit and discs before use.

Security

• Check local voltage compatibility.
• Disconnect by holding the plug, not the cord.

Use Remote Control

1. Open the battery compartment.
2. Insert two AAA batteries, matching polarity (+/-).
3. Close the compartment.
4. Point the remote at the sensor.

Note: Batteries typically last about 6 months. Remove batteries if the remote is not used for an extended period.

Connections

Connect the DVD player to your TV and amplifier.

• Turn off all equipment before connecting.
• Use the provided Video/Audio cords (Red, White, Yellow plugs) or the SCART lead.
• Connect the Red plug to Audio Out R, White to Audio Out L, and Yellow to Video Out on the player.
• Connect the other end of the cords to the corresponding inputs on your TV set.
• Alternatively, use the SCART lead from the EURO AV jack on the player to the SCART socket on your TV.
• Ensure correct audio input is selected on your amplifier.

Basic Operations

Play Discs

1. Turn on the TV and audio system, select the correct video input (e.g., VIDEO or S-VIDEO).
2. Select the correct audio input on your amplifier.
3. Turn on the DV-600 using the STANDBY/ON button or the remote.
4. Press OPEN/CLOSE to open the disc tray, insert the disc label-up, and press OPEN/CLOSE again to close. The unit will read the disc.
5. For DVDs, the menu and titles will appear. For CDs, playback starts with the first track.
6. Press the stop button (⏹️) to stop playback.
7. Press the remove disc button (▶️) to eject the disc.

System Setting

• Use the SYSTEM button on the remote to set the TV TYPE (PAL, AUTO, NTSC) to match your TV.

V-Mode

This feature is not available for this unit.

Display

Press the DISPLAY button during playback to cycle through information like Title Elapsed/Remain, Chapter Elapsed/Remain, or to turn off the display.

Fast Play

Use the fast forward (▶️▶️) or fast reverse (◀️◀️) buttons to speed up playback. Press PLAY to return to normal speed.

Slow Play

Press the SLOW button to enjoy slow-motion playback.

Pause/Step

Press the PAUSE button (⏸️) to pause playback. Pressing STEP (▶️) again advances the picture frame by frame.

Select Audio Language

Press the AUDIO button to choose from available audio tracks on multi-language DVDs.

Select Channels (CD, MP3)

Use the CHANNEL button to select audio output as Left Mono, Right Mono, Mix-Mono, or Stereo.

Selecting 3D Audio

Microphone Set up

1. Turn on the microphone switch.
2. Connect the microphone to the front panel input socket.
3. Insert a Karaoke disc and select a track.
4. Adjust the microphone level using the MIC LEVEL knob on the front panel.
5. Select channel mode (Left, Right, Mixed, Stereo) using the remote's channel button.
6. Adjust volume using the player's volume buttons and your TV/monitor's volume.

Tone Control

To Skip Scenes in a Disc

• Press ▶️ to move to the next chapter/track.
• Press ◀️ to move to the previous chapter/track or the beginning of the current chapter.

Directly Moving to a Desired Title (DVD)

For discs with multiple titles, use the TITLE/PBC or MENU button to display the title list, then press PLAY to select and start a title.

Playing a Disc Containing MP3 Files

1. When an MP3 disc is loaded, the MP3 menu screen appears.
2. Use direction buttons and PLAY to navigate folders and select files.
3. You can enter the title number directly using the numeric buttons.
4. Use ▶️ and ◀️ to move between titles/files.

Repeat Play

Set repeat modes for DVD (Chapter, Title, All) and CD/MP3 (Track, Single, Repeat One, Folder, Shuffle, Random).

Repeating a Defined Period from A to B

Use the A-B button to set a start (A) and end (B) point for repeated playback of a segment.

Select a Subtitle Language

Press the SUBTITLE button to cycle through available subtitle languages. Press until "SUBTITLE OFF" appears to disable subtitles.

Searching

• DVD: Use the SEARCH button to access the search menu and find titles, chapters, or specific times.
