IH 24h Operating Instructions
Schneider Electric
Product Overview
The IH 24h is a mechanical time switch designed to switch connected loads on or off at preset times. It is installed on a DIN rail (DIN EN 60715).
Art. no. srm: CCT16364, arm: CCT15365
The IH 24h arm (art. no. CCT15365) features a quartz clock mechanism. The mechanism activates after a few minutes of power supply connection, with a full power reserve achieved after 5 days.
For Your Safety
DANGER
Risk of serious damage to property and personal injury, e.g., from fire or electric shock, due to incorrect electrical installation.
Safe electrical installation requires basic knowledge in:
- Connecting to installation networks
- Connecting several electrical devices
- Laying electric cables
Only skilled professionals trained in electrical installation technology should perform installations. Failure to meet these requirements or disregarding them makes the user solely liable for any damage or injury.
Getting to Know IH 24h
The IH 24h is a mechanical time switch that controls connected loads based on set times. It mounts on a DIN rail (DIN EN 60715).

Setting IH 24h
Setting the Time
Use the rotary knob to set the time (hour, minutes) by turning it clockwise or anti-clockwise.
For morning times, the 3/6/9 markers should be visible on the clock face. For afternoon times, the 15/18/21 markers should be visible.
The clock face indicates both morning and afternoon times, advancing past 24 and 12-hour cycles.
Setting the Switching Time
Use the switching segments on the setting disc to define switching times. Each segment represents a 15-minute period. Segments can be pushed in or out using a finger. The setting disc indicates the switching period with a +/- 5-minute tolerance.
- Switching segment out: Load switched off
- Switching segment in: Load switched on
Operating IH 24h
Operating the Manual Switch
The load can be switched on or off in advance while the time switch is in automatic mode.
Turn the manual switch one position counter-clockwise. The current status will be reversed and remain unchanged until the next scheduled switching.
Operating the Automatic/Permanent Switch
This switch allows permanent ON, permanent OFF, or automatic mode operation.
- Permanent ON: Set the switch to "1". The load is permanently switched on, and programmed switching times are ignored.
- Permanent OFF: Set the switch to "0". The load is permanently switched off, and programmed switching times are ignored.
- Automatic Mode: Set the switch to "clock". Programmed switching times remain active, and the load switches on/off according to the set times.
For permanent ON or OFF settings, programmed switching times are deactivated.
