This document provides essential steps to get your AVM FRITZ!Box 4060 wireless router up and running.

Initial Settings (found on FRITZ! Notes card):
- Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID): FRITZ!Box 4060 WQ
- Wi-Fi Password (WPA2): 37798981156289810123
- FRITZ!Box Password: zigzag5481
These settings can be modified within the FRITZ!Box user interface, accessible via http://fritz.box.
Safety Instructions
Please observe the following safety precautions:
- Do not install or operate during electrical storms.
- Ensure ventilation slits are unobstructed.
- Avoid placing on heat-sensitive surfaces.
- Connect to an easily accessible outlet.
- Intended for indoor use only.
Setup Steps
Step 1: Connect to Electrical Power
Connect the FRITZ!Box to a power outlet using the provided power adapter.

Step 2: Connect to a Modem
Connect the white network cable from the FRITZ!Box's "WAN" port to a LAN port on your DSL modem, cable modem, or router with an integrated DSL modem.

Step 3: Initial Configuration (Settings upon Delivery)
The FRITZ!Box is pre-configured with network name (SSID) and passwords. These are listed on the FRITZ! Notes card.

Step 4: Establish Wi-Fi Connection (Computer)
On your computer:
- Click the Wi-Fi icon (?) in your taskbar (Windows) or menu bar (Apple).
- Select the Wi-Fi network of your FRITZ!Box (e.g., "FRITZ!Box 4060 WQ").
- Enter the Wi-Fi password (WPA2) from the FRITZ! Notes card to connect.

Step 5: Establish Wi-Fi Connection (Smartphone)
On your smartphone:
- Scan the QR code provided on the FRITZ! Notes card to connect directly.
- Alternatively, open your smartphone's Wi-Fi settings, select the FRITZ!Box 4060 network, and enter the Wi-Fi password.

Step 6: Register a Cordless Telephone (DECT)
To register a DECT cordless phone:
- Switch on your cordless telephone.
- Start the registration process on the telephone.
- Enter the FRITZ!Box PIN (default is 0000).
- Press and hold the "Connect" button (▶️) on the FRITZ!Box until the "Connect" LED flashes.
- The telephone will register with the FRITZ!Box.

Internet Access Configuration
Selecting Internet Access
If connecting to an Internet Router or Cable Modem: The FRITZ!Box will use the existing internet connection from that device. No further configuration is typically needed for internet surfing.
If connecting to a DSL or Fiber Optic Modem: The FRITZ!Box needs to be configured for the internet connection. Continue to the setup guide.
Configuring Internet Access
Follow these steps to configure your internet connection:
- Open a web browser and navigate to http://fritz.box.
- Enter the FRITZ!Box password (found on the FRITZ! Notes card or the bottom of the device).
- Follow the on-screen instructions to establish the internet connection.

Device Indicators and Controls
LED Indicators
Info: ? Flashes when messages are waiting on the answering machine (configurable) or indicates an important notification.
Fon: ? On during a telephone call; flashes when voice messages are waiting in the network.
WLAN: ? On when Wi-Fi is active.
Power / Internet: ? On for an active internet connection; flashes when the internet connection is interrupted.
Connect Button
Connect Button (▶️): Press to register wireless or DECT devices. Flashes while a device is registering.

2.4 GHz: 2.4–2.483 GHz, max. 100 mW
5 GHz: 5.15–5.35 GHz, max. 200 mW; 5.47–5.725 GHz, max. 1000 mW
