The AUTOOL SDT205 is a professional vehicle pipeline leak detection tool. Utilizing a visual smoke system, this diagnostic leak detector quickly locates hard-to-find leaks in any closed system, including EVAP systems, air intake systems, exhaust systems, wind and water leaks, charge air coolers, turbochargers, pipes, fittings, hoses, and other components. It assists mechanics in efficiently solving problems, significantly reducing repeat vehicle repairs, saving diagnosis time, improving customer service, and cutting warranty expenses.

• Air Tightness Test: Checks the air tightness and leakage of pipelines under system pressure.
• Air Intake System Test: Checks the tightness and degree of damage of the pipeline.

Installation and Connection

Easy Installation

• After unpacking, place the machine on a stable surface and turn it to its back.
• Connect the power cord from the accessory box to the power interface on the machine.
• Connect the smoking hose from the accessory box to the smoke outlet.

Easy Connection

• Power Connection: Connect the positive and negative poles of the power cord to the corresponding positive and negative terminals of the vehicle's battery.

Operation Procedures

Air Intake System Test

1. Open the air filter cover and remove the air filter.
2. Insert the inflatable bladder from the accessory box into the air inlet and squeeze it until its inflated diameter matches the air inlet.
3. Remove the oil filler cap, add 10ml of test oil, and tighten the cap.
4. Turn on the power switch. Press the air mode button and then the smoke mode button.
5. Block the smoke nozzle and observe the pressure gauge.
6. When the pressure reaches 0.8kg/c㎡, connect the smoke nozzle to the inflatable bladder.
7. Observe for smoke escaping from the leak point of the air intake system.

EVAP System Test

1. Locate the carbon canister on the vehicle and disconnect its fuel inlet/outlet tubing.
2. Attach the special adapter for the EVAP system (from the accessory box) to the tubing you intend to test.
3. Remove the oil filler cap, add 10ml of test oil, and tighten the cap.
4. Turn on the power switch. Press the air mode button and then the smoke mode button.
5. Block the smoke nozzle and observe the pressure gauge.
6. When the pressure reaches 0.8kg/c㎡, connect the smoke nozzle to the EVAP system special adapter.
7. Observe for smoke escaping from the leak point of the EVAP system.

Important Notes for Operation

• Oil Level: Do not add more than 10ml of test oil. Exceeding this amount may cause the smoke generator to stop working, result in no smoke output, or even oil spillage.

• Overheating Protection: If the device is used for an extended period, the internal temperature may become too high. The overheating protection indicator (7) will illuminate. In this case, immediately disconnect the power supply to stop the device.

• Safety: Ensure there are no open flames present during EVAP system testing.

Maintenance and Packing List

Maintenance

• After testing, remove and clean all accessories, then return them to the box.
• Drain the used test oil and pour it back into the oil bottle.
• Clean the main unit and inspect for any faults, loose connections, or damage.
• After installing the main unit and accessories, store them in a cool, dry, and dust-free environment.
• Smoke and oil can oxidize and deteriorate over time, especially when exposed to high temperatures, which can affect the service life of the smoke generator. Change the test oil regularly.

• AUTOOL provides a 3-year limited warranty for the main unit and a 1-year limited warranty for accessories, starting from the date of receipt.
• Repair or replacement services are offered based on the specific type of fault.
• All parts, accessories, and devices provided for replacement are guaranteed to be brand new.

Replacement Policy

• AUTOOL will cover shipping costs and provide replacement accessories free of charge if the customer submits video and pictures of a product failure within 90 days of receipt.
• For products received more than 90 days ago, AUTOOL will provide spare parts for replacement free of charge, but the buyer will be responsible for other associated costs.

Warranty Void Conditions

• Purchases made through unofficial channels.
• Damage resulting from improper use or maintenance, or failure to follow the user manual.
