Overview

Charging Case

The charging case features a USB Type-C charging port and charging contacts for the earbuds.

Earbuds

Each earbud has a multifunction button and charging contacts. The earbuds come with size M ear tips pre-installed, but can be replaced with size S or L for a better fit.

Earbud Placement

Gently insert the earbuds into your ears and ensure they are secure, even when turning your head. For clearer calls, position the earbud so the microphone is directed towards your mouth.

Charging

Before first use, remove the protective film from the earbud charging contacts to ensure proper charging of both the earbuds and the charging case.

Connect the charging cable to charge the earbuds and case simultaneously. The charging case indicator is red when charging and turns off when fully charged. The earbud indicator is red while charging and turns white upon full charge, then turns off after 1 minute.

Powering On / Off

Powering On

The earbuds automatically turn on when removed from the charging case. If the earbuds are off and not in the case, press and hold the multifunction button for 1 second until the indicator lights up white.

Powering Off

The earbuds automatically turn off when placed back into the charging case. If the earbuds are on, press and hold the multifunction button for 5 seconds until the indicator turns red.

Connection

Automatic Connection

1. Remove both earbuds from the charging case. Wait 2-3 seconds for them to power on. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device. When the earbud indicator slowly flashes white, search for "Xiaomi Redmi Buds Essential" on your device.
2. Once paired, the earbuds will automatically connect to the last paired device when powered on (with Bluetooth enabled).

Note: If pairing fails, place the earbuds back in the case and repeat the steps.

Switching Between Single and Dual Earbud Modes

When both earbuds are connected, they are in dual earbud mode. Placing one earbud back into the charging case and closing the lid will automatically switch to single earbud mode. Removing the earbud will restore dual earbud mode.

Resetting the Earbuds

If the earbuds cannot be connected properly, reset them by following these steps: Remove earbuds from the case and ensure they are off. Press and hold the multifunction button on both earbuds for approximately 15 seconds. When the indicator flashes red and white alternately three times, release the buttons and place the earbuds back into the charging case. Remove the earbuds from your device's paired list and re-pair them.

Function Overview

The following functions can be performed on either earbud:

Accept/End Calls

Gently press the multifunction button to answer or end calls.

Reject Call

Press and hold the multifunction button for 1 second to reject an incoming call.

Play/Pause Music

In standby mode, gently press the multifunction button to play or pause music. Note: Some music player apps may need to be running in the background.

Activate Voice Assistant

In standby mode, double-press the multifunction button to activate the voice assistant. Note: Voice assistant and quick wake-up features must be supported and enabled on your device.

Accept Second Call / Switch Between Calls

For incoming calls, gently press the multifunction button to accept. During an ongoing call, gently press the multifunction button to accept a second incoming call. Double-press the multifunction button to switch between the two calls.

Switch Between Headset and Device

During a call, press and hold the multifunction button for 1 second to switch the audio between the headset and your phone.

Mute / Unmute

During calls, double-press the multifunction button to mute or unmute your microphone.

Safety Precautions

Warnings:

1. Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the product for any reason, as this may cause fire or complete product destruction.
2. Do not expose the product to extreme temperatures (below 0°C or above 45°C).
3. Keep earbuds away from children and pets.
4. Do not use the product during thunderstorms. Thunderstorms can cause product malfunction and increase the risk of electric shock.
5. Do not wipe or clean the earbuds or charging case with alcohol or other volatile liquids.
6. Avoid contact with liquids.
7. Excessive volume from the earbuds can cause hearing loss.

1. If the product has not been used for more than 2 weeks, it is recommended to charge it before use.
2. Use only certified chargers from reputable manufacturers.
3. Prolonged use of earbuds at high volumes is harmful to hearing. Do not use earbuds for extended periods at high volumes.
4. Using earbuds may reduce your perception of external sounds. Do not use earbuds in environments that could compromise your safety. When outdoors, it is recommended to use only one earbud.

Due to Bluetooth signal connection characteristics, occasional disconnections or no audio may occur in dense environments with 2.4 GHz electromagnetic signal interference.

3. If technical inspection reveals that the damage is not covered by warranty, the user bears the costs of shipping and technical inspection. If the user wishes to repair the damage despite it not being covered by warranty, the user bears the repair costs.
