Product Overview and Controls
Power Management
- Power On: Press the Xbox button.
- Power Off: Hold the Xbox button for 6 seconds.
- Force Power Off: Hold the Xbox button for 12 seconds.
Connectivity
For Windows
Required System: Windows 10 (1903) or above.
Wireless Connection
- Connect the 2.4G receiver to a USB port on your Windows device.
- Turn the Mode switch to 'gamepad mode'.
- Press the Xbox button to turn on the Arcade Stick. Wait for the device to recognize it; the Status LED will stay solid.
Wired Connection
- Turn the Mode switch to 'gamepad mode'.
- Connect the Arcade Stick to your Windows device via a USB cable. Wait for the device to recognize it; the Status LED will stay solid.
For Xbox
Supported Consoles: Xbox Series, Xbox One. (Xbox 360 is not supported). The latest firmware version for your Xbox console is required.
Wireless Connection
- Connect the 2.4G receiver to the USB port of your Xbox console.
- Turn the Mode switch to 'gamepad mode'.
- Press the Xbox button to turn on the Arcade Stick. Wait for the Xbox console to recognize it; the Status LED will stay solid.
Wired Connection
- Turn the Mode switch to 'gamepad mode'.
- Connect the Arcade Stick to your Xbox console via a USB cable. Wait for the Xbox console to recognize it; the Status LED will stay solid.
Features
Button Swap
You can quickly swap the functions of two buttons:
- Press and hold any two buttons you wish to swap, then press the Star button.
- To cancel a swap, press and hold the swapped buttons again and press the Star button.
The Profile LED will blink continuously when swapped buttons are pressed. Swapped button functions are not saved after the Arcade Stick is turned off or disconnected. The Joystick, View, Menu, Share, and Xbox buttons do not support swapping.
Volume Control
Adjust in-game volume and voice chat balance:
- Main Volume Up/Down: Press and hold the Profile button + Joystick Up/Down. Audible beeps indicate adjustments to maximum, middle, or minimum volume.
- Voice/Game Volume Balance: Press and hold the Profile button + Joystick Left/Right to adjust the balance.
- Press and hold Profile + Left: Decrease voice chat volume while increasing game volume.
- Press and hold Profile + Right: Increase voice chat volume while decreasing game volume.
Battery Information
Status LED Indicator:
- Red LED blinks: Low battery.
- Green LED blinks: Battery charging.
- Green LED stays solid: Battery fully charged.
The Arcade Stick is equipped with a built-in 1000mAh Li-on rechargeable battery, providing approximately 30 hours of playtime (20 hours when connected with headphones). Charging time is approximately 4 hours.

- Always use batteries, chargers, and accessories provided by the manufacturer.
- 8BitDo is not liable for safety issues arising from the use of non-manufacturer-approved accessories.
- Do not attempt to disassemble, modify, or repair the device yourself. Unauthorized actions may result in serious injury.
- Avoid crushing, disassembling, puncturing, or attempting to modify the device or its battery, as these actions can be dangerous.
- Any unauthorized changes or modifications to the device will void the manufacturer's warranty.
Ultimate Software
Customize your Arcade Stick for elite control:
- Press the Profile button to activate customized profiles. The Profile LED will not light up when using the default setting.
- Visit support.8bitdo.com for the application to customize button mapping, adjust stick & trigger sensitivity, and vibration control.
Re-pair the Arcade Stick and Receiver
Follow these steps to re-pair the Arcade Stick and receiver if the connection is lost or a receiver is replaced:
- With the Arcade Stick off, press and hold the Star button and Profile button, then press the Xbox button to turn on the Arcade Stick. The Status LED will blink rapidly.
- Plug the receiver into the USB port of your Windows device or Xbox console. Wait for the Arcade Stick to pair with the receiver automatically.
- The LEDs on both the Arcade Stick and receiver will stay solid when the connection is successful.
