Getting Started

This guide will walk you through the initial setup and installation of your Imou camera.

Step 1: Power On the Camera

Connect the camera to a power source using the provided adapter and cable. You can choose a wireless or wired network connection.

LED Status:

Green Flashing: Ready to set up the device.
Green Solid: Working properly.
Red Flashing: Network disconnected.
Red Solid: Booting / Device malfunction.
Green & Red Alternating: Updating firmware.
Off: Power off / LED turned off.

Device Status:

Ready to set up the device
Working properly
Network disconnected
Failed to set up the device
Booting
Device malfunction
Updating firmware
Power off

Note: If you need to reset the camera, press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds. The LED turns solid red when the camera is booting.

Step 2: Get the Imou Life App

Scan the QR code provided or search for "Imou Life" in the App Store or Google Play to download and install the application. Create an account and log in.

Step 3: Set Up the Camera

Use the Imou Life app to scan the QR code on the device or the guide cover. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Step 4: Install the Camera

Ensure the mounting surface is strong enough to support three times the weight of the camera. For detailed installation, refer to the diagrams.

Mounting Instructions:

The bracket can be mounted on a flat surface.
Ensure the camera is oriented correctly (FRONT ↑).
The camera supports 180° rotation and 0-360° pan, 0-15° tilt.
Recommended drill hole size: Φ 5.5-6.0 mm.
Ensure the mounting surface is at least 50 mm thick.
