The appearance of bright or dark spots on the LCD screen is a common characteristic of Active-Matrix technology and does not indicate a defect.

Quick Start Guide

  1. Connect an antenna to the DA383D.
  2. Connect the DA383D to a power outlet using the supplied power cable.
  3. Turn on the DA383D using the remote control.
  4. Use the arrow keys to select the desired language and press .
  5. Use the arrow keys to select the desired country and press .
  6. Press to begin the automatic scan.

Note: To cancel the automatic scan, press and then select or to confirm. Signal strength may vary depending on your location, building materials, weather, and electromagnetic interference. Moving to a different location or using a rooftop antenna may improve reception.

Note: The top LED indicator lights green when the device is powered on. The bottom LED indicator lights red when the device is connected to the power adapter and turns green when fully charged.

Connection and Setup

Connecting the Power Cable

  1. Connect the power cable to the DC IN 12V jack.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a power outlet.

Connecting Headphones

Connect your headphones to the Aux output. Note: When headphones are plugged in, the device's speakers will be muted.

Connecting to a Source via HDMI

Ensure both the DA100D and the source device are turned off before connecting or disconnecting the HDMI cable.

Connecting to a Source via AV

Ensure both the DA100D and the source device are turned off before connecting or disconnecting the AV cable.

Operation

Startup

  1. Connect the power adapter to the device and plug it into a power outlet.
  2. Turn on the power switch on the side of the device. Alternatively, if the device is in standby mode, press the power button on the remote control.

Mode Selection

Press the button repeatedly to cycle through the following modes: DTV, ATV, HDMI, AV, Media Player.

Digital TV (DTV)

Automatic Scan

  1. Press to access the main menu.
  2. Use the navigation keys to select 'Sender' (Channel).
  3. Select 'Country' and choose your country.
  4. Select 'Auto Search' and press to begin scanning for channels.

Blind Scan

  1. Press to access the main menu.
  2. Select 'Sender' (Channel).
  3. Select 'Blind Scan' and press to start the scan.

Channel Manager

The Channel Manager allows you to delete, move, set favorites, and skip channels.

LCN (Logical Channel Number)

To enable or disable LCN, navigate to 'Sender' (Channel) in the menu and toggle the LCN option. For Germany/Austria, it is recommended to disable LCN.

Channel Information

Press to display channel information. Press again to view signal strength and quality.

Recall

Press to return to the previously viewed channel.

Subtitles

  1. Navigate to 'System' in the menu.
  2. Select 'Subtitle Language' and choose your preferred language.
  3. Press to confirm.

Analog TV (ATV)

Automatic Scan

  1. Press to access the main menu.
  2. Select 'Sender' (Channel).
  3. Select 'Country' and choose your country.
  4. Select 'Auto Search' and press to begin scanning for channels.

Manual Scan

  1. Press to access the main menu.
  2. Select 'Sender' (Channel).
  3. Select 'ATV Manual Search' and press .
  4. Adjust search options as needed and start the scan.

DVD Player

  1. Open the DVD player cover, insert a DVD, and close the cover.
  2. Press and select 'DVD' using the navigation keys, then press .

Media Player

  1. Connect a USB storage device or insert a Micro SD card.
  2. Press and select 'Media Player', then press .
  3. Use the navigation keys to select a media format (Photo, Movie, Music, Text) and browse your files.

Display Settings

Access the 'Display' menu via the main menu to adjust brightness, contrast, color, sharpness, tint, color temperature, and aspect ratio.

Audio Settings

Access the 'Audio' menu via the main menu to adjust audio mode, bass, balance, and surround sound settings.

Time Settings

Access the 'Time' menu via the main menu to adjust sleep timer, auto sleep, time zone, and clock settings. In DTV mode, the time is set automatically.

System Settings

Access the 'System' menu via the main menu to adjust OSD language, audio language, subtitle language, image invert, and perform a factory reset.

Factory Reset

To reset the device to factory settings, navigate to 'Factory Reset' in the System menu and confirm.

Troubleshooting

Warning: Do not attempt to repair the device yourself. Doing so will void the warranty and may cause personal injury. Repairs should only be carried out by authorized personnel.

Warranty

This product comes with a 24-month manufacturer's warranty covering material and workmanship defects. The warranty is valid in the country of purchase and covers the main product, not accessories. It does not cover damage from accidental drops, natural disasters, or unauthorized repairs. Contact customer service before returning the product. The product must be returned in its original packaging with all accessories and a copy of the receipt.

Note on LCD Pixels: LCD displays may have minor pixel defects. August International is not responsible unless there are more than 3 bright or 3 dark pixel errors.

Note on Signal Strength: Ensure adequate signal strength for digital TV reception. A rooftop antenna may be required. August International is not responsible for poor reception due to weak signals.
