Norwii N95s Pro Troubleshooting Guide
Digital laser does not work on LED/LCD screen
This model features both a digital pointer and a physical laser. The physical laser is intended for projection screens, while the digital pointer is compatible with TV/LED/LCD screens and requires the Norwii Presenter software.
Before use, ensure the following:
- Run the Norwii Presenter software. For assistance, search for "User Manual of Norwii Presenter" on norwii.com.
- Verify the wireless presenter is connected to the computer. The connection status is displayed in the bottom left corner of the software window.
- For first-time use on macOS, complete these two steps:
- Set the keyboard type of the USB receiver to 'ANSI' in 'System Preferences - Keyboard Setting Assistant'.
- Follow the guide on the Norwii official website: https://www.norwii.com/manualen/624-en.html
- Grant the following permissions: ① Input Monitoring, ② Screen & System Audio Recording, and ③ Accessibility. Refer to the guide: https://www.norwii.com/manualen/397-en.html
Physical Laser
- Physical laser does not light up:
- Check if the wireless presenter's power switch is ON.
- Ensure the battery is fully charged. If low, charge it and try again. Confirm the charging adapter and cable are functional.
- Physical laser is on but weak:
- Physical lasers are designed for projection screens or walls and may appear weak on LED/LCD screens.
- Presenters compliant with Laser Safety Regulations may also exhibit weaker lasers in bright outdoor environments.
Malfunction of back and next
- Cannot turn pages and laser does not light up: Check the battery and power switch.
- Cannot turn pages, but laser lights up:
- Try pairing the device following the guide: https://www.norwii.com/faqcn/501-cn.html
- Long-pressing the '<' and '>' buttons for 3 seconds allows toggling between 3 or 4 modes. The device remembers the last used mode. The modes include: Up/Down (PowerPoint/Keynote page turning), Left/Right (Prezi page turning), and Page Up/Page Down (Browser/photo viewer page turning).
- Cannot turn pages, and the operating system prompts 'Unrecognized USB device':
- Try a different USB port or computer to rule out computer issues.
- Run the Norwii Presenter software. If the USB icon is red, the USB receiver may be faulty; contact the seller.
Long press '<' or '>' cannot full screen or black screen
Change the input method to English. If the long press function is not desired, it can be set to 'Null' for the '<' and '>' keys within the Norwii Presenter software's 'Customize' section.
Mouse Cursor drift
Cursor drift issues may require calibration. This occurs when the presenter is stationary, but the cursor moves, or when moving the presenter horizontally/vertically results in diagonal cursor movement.
Calibration method:
- Place the wireless presenter on a flat, stable surface.
- Turn off the presenter.
- Long-press the '>' key, then turn on the power.
- Release the '>' key; the indicator LED will flash.
- Keep the presenter stable until the indicator light stops flashing, indicating calibration is complete.
- Calibration can be repeated if necessary.
The mouse pointer stays shown/hidden in full screen state
In PowerPoint full screen/slide show mode, right-click and navigate to 'Pointer Options' > 'Arrow Options' to adjust settings.
Short control distance
The control distance is affected by 2.4GHz wireless signals, obstructions, and interference from other wireless devices (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth). It is normal for the actual control distance to be less than advertised due to environmental factors. If the control distance is very short (e.g., less than 5 meters), contact the seller.
System Compatibility
Mac OS 10.15 or Windows 10 and later.
