Getting Started

This section guides you through powering on and pairing your JVC SP-SX2BT speaker.

Powering On

Long press the power button for 3 seconds. The speaker will enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a blinking blue indicator light.

Bluetooth Pairing

To pair your device:

  1. On your phone or device, open Bluetooth settings.
  2. Find "JVC SP-SX2BT" in the list of available devices and select it.
  3. Upon successful connection, the unit will emit a "Dong-Dong" sound, and the indicator light will remain solid blue. You can now play music.

AUX IN Connection

The speaker features a 3.5mm AUX audio input port for wired connections.

Connect the speaker to your mobile phone, MP3 player, PC, or laptop using a 3.5mm audio cable. The green indicator light will turn on, signifying that you can play music via wired connection. Note: Stereo sound is not supported in AUX mode.

Basic Operation

Control your speaker using the buttons and modes.

Bluetooth Mode

  • Play/Pause: Short press the button.
  • Answering Calls: When a call is incoming, short press the button to answer.
  • Refusing Calls: When a call is incoming, double press the button to refuse.
  • Ending Calls: During a call, short press the button to hang up.
  • Volume Up: Short press for volume up.
  • Next Track: Long press for the next track.
  • Volume Down: Short press for volume down.
  • Previous Track: Long press for the previous track.

AUX IN Mode

  • Volume Up: Short press for volume up.
  • Volume Down: Short press for volume down.

LED Operation

Understand the status of your speaker through its LED indicator.

Status Description LED Definition
Power On The default mode is Bluetooth pairing mode, with blue light flashing. If a 3.5mm AUX IN cable is plugged in, it will enter AUX IN mode, and the green light will be on.
Bluetooth Mode (Play/Pause) Blue light is normally on.
Wait for Pairing Blue light flashes. When the speaker is out of the Bluetooth connection range, the blue light flashes (returning to pairing status). If the speaker is in pairing mode for over 10 minutes without connection, it will power off automatically.
Bluetooth Connected Blue light is normally on.
Charging Status Red light is on when charging; the red light turns off once fully charged.
AUX IN Mode Green light is normally on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What kind of charger should we use for the speaker?
A: All common USB chargers can be used, while we suggest the ones above 5V/1A.
Q: What if there is noise or discontinuous sound when playing?
A: The speaker can be normally used within 10m under no obstruction environment. If it is over 10m or with obstruction, there might be noise or discontinuous sound.
Q: Why will the speaker shut down automatically when it is working?
A: When there is no Bluetooth pairing or AUX IN connection within 10 minutes, the speaker will shut down automatically to reduce power consumption.
Q: The speaker cannot connect to the once-paired cellphone.
A: First, remove the speaker's pairing name from the cellphone's Bluetooth list and then short press the Bluetooth Disconnection Button to restart pairing mode.
Q: What is the working sequence of the speaker?
A: The priority is AUX IN input, phone call in Bluetooth mode, and then playing music in Bluetooth mode.
Q: The speaker cannot be started up in a normal situation.
A: Please plug in the charger and try again in a few minutes.
