This document is the user manual for the JVC XS-N3129PBA Portable Outdoor Party Speaker. It provides instructions on how to use the speaker's various features, including Bluetooth connectivity, USB and Micro-SD card playback, FM radio, microphone and guitar inputs, and auxiliary input. The manual also details important safety instructions, control panel functions, water resistance specifications, and battery charging information.

Getting Started and Features
Bluetooth Wireless
Pairing & Playing Audio:
- Press the [Power/Mode button] (O/M) to select Bluetooth Mode. The display will show "blue".
- Press and hold the [Pairing button] (associated with control #11) to begin pairing. The display will flash quickly.
- On your Bluetooth device, scan for and select "XS-N3129" in your Bluetooth settings to pair.
- When successfully paired, the display will turn solid.
- Use your connected device to select and play audio. Audio will be heard through the speaker. Use the speaker or device controls to play, pause, and adjust volume.
USB Playback
Insert a USB memory device into the USB port to play compatible files. The unit automatically enters USB mode, or you can select it by repeatedly pressing the [Power/Mode button] (O/M) until "USB" is displayed.
- Use the [Play/Pause button] (►), [Previous track button] (<), or [Next track button] (>) to control playback.
- The unit has a memory function, resuming from the last played track.
- Supports MP3 file format only; maximum device size is 64GB.
Micro-SD Memory Card
Load a Micro-SD card into the Micro-SD card slot. The speaker will automatically detect the card and switch to SD Card Mode, starting playback.
- Press [Play/Pause button] (►) to pause or play media.
- Press [Next/Previous track button] (< or >) to change tracks.
- Supports MP3 file format only; maximum device size is 64GB.
FM Radio
Radio Tuning and Saving Station Presets:
- Press the [Power/Mode button] (O/M) to switch to FM Radio Mode. The display will show an FM radio frequency.
- Press and hold the [Play/Pause button] (►) to automatically scan and save FM stations as presets. Saved stations will be assigned a "Pxx" number.
- Press [Next/Previous track button] (< or >) to cycle through presets.
Microphone and Guitar Inputs
Requires a microphone and/or guitar with a 1/4 inch audio cable or adapter.
- Connect a microphone to the [Mic input] and/or a guitar to the [Guitar input] on the unit. Audio from the microphone/guitar will play as long as it is connected.
- Use the speaker controls to adjust microphone/guitar volume and effects.
Aux In
Requires a 3.5mm audio cable (not included). Note: Equalizer settings are not usable in Aux In Mode.
- Press the [Power/Mode button] (O/M) to switch to Aux In Mode; the display will show "Aux".
- Connect a 3.5mm audio cable to the [Aux In port] on the unit and the audio output/headphone jack on an audio device.
- Use the controls on the connected device to select and play audio.

Control Panel Overview
The control panel features the following:
- 1. DC Power Input/Battery Charge LED: Used to charge the internal battery and power the speaker. The charging LED lights up when charging and turns off when fully charged.
- 2. USB playback port
- 3. Micro-SD Memory Card Port
- 4. Aux In (3.5mm Audio Input)
- 5. Microphone and Guitar input Jacks: Microphones will always be heard when in use, regardless of the source input.
- 6. Microphone Volume: Adjusts microphone volume.
- 7. Speaker Volume: Adjusts speaker volume.
- 8. Echo Adjustment: Adjusts the echo effect for a connected microphone.
- 9. O/M Button: Press and hold to power the speaker ON or OFF. Press to change audio source between Bluetooth, Aux In, and FM.
- 10. EQ Button: Press to adjust between equalizer settings: EQ 1-Normal, EQ 2-Bass, EQ 3-Rock. Press and hold to turn off LED lights.
- 11. Pairing Button (labeled '<'): Press and hold to begin pairing to a Bluetooth device.
- 12. Previous Track/Station Button (labeled '<'): Short press to skip audio tracks (BLUETOOTH/USB/microSD) or radio presets (FM).
- 13. Play/Pause/Scan Button (labeled '>'): Press to play or pause tracks (BLUETOOTH, USB, Micro SD). Press and hold to scan and save radio stations (FM).
- 14. Reset Button: Use a pin or sharp object to reset the speaker when required.
Water Resistance Level IPX4
This speaker is rated IPX4, meaning it is resistant to splashing water. It is suitable for outdoor use when the port cover is closed. Do not submerge the speaker in water.
If the speaker is exposed to splashing water, ensure it is dried thoroughly before using again.
IMPORTANT: This IP rating is applicable only when any cables/memory devices are removed from the speaker and the ports are completely closed using the port cover. If the port cover is not closed, water resistance will be compromised, potentially causing personal injury or damage to the speaker.
Charging the Battery
To charge the battery, connect the microUSB end of the charging cable to the charging port on the speaker and connect the other end to a suitable adaptor (not included) or to a USB port on a computer or similar device.
Battery life is approximately 3 hours.
Important Safety Instructions
- Read all instructions before use. Retain for future use.
- No user-serviceable parts inside. Do not dismantle.
- IP rating applies only when the port cover is closed.
- Do not immerse the unit in water or other liquids.
- Do not expose to direct sunlight, heat, or fire.
- Keep the unit away from flammable materials.
- Do not dispose of batteries in your household waste. Contact your local council for information on disposal or recycling.
- This product is not a toy! Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
