Panel Description
The speaker's top and front panel features various controls and ports:
- MIC Volume/Menu Dial: A rotary dial used to adjust microphone volume. Pressing the dial accesses a menu for fine-tuning microphone bass and treble.
- LED Display: A digital screen that shows operational status, mode, and track information.
- Volume/EQ Dial: A primary rotary dial for adjusting the main music volume. Pressing this dial allows selection and adjustment of Equalizer (EQ) settings, offering modes like Bass (BA), Treble (TR), and genre-specific presets (JAZZ, POP, CLASSIC, ROCK, G-EQ).
- MIC1 Input: A standard 1/4-inch (6.35mm) jack for connecting the first wired microphone.
- MIC2 Input: A second 1/4-inch (6.35mm) jack for connecting a second wired microphone.
- microSD Card Input: A slot designed to accept microSD memory cards containing audio files.
- USB Port: A USB-A port that serves a dual purpose: playing audio files from a USB drive and acting as a power bank output (DC 5V, 1A) for charging external devices.
- POWER/INPUT Button: The main power button. A short press cycles through input sources (Bluetooth, Line In, FM Radio, USB, microSD). A long press (approx. 2 seconds) powers the unit on or off.
- LIGHT/MODE Button: Controls the LED lighting effects. Pressing it cycles through different light modes and can turn the lights off.
- MIC PRIORITY Button: Activates the microphone priority feature. When enabled, the volume of any microphone input automatically lowers the music volume, ensuring vocal clarity.
- Previous Song Button: Navigates to the previous track in the current playback mode.
- Play/Pause/FM Button: Controls playback: press once to pause, press again to resume. In FM mode, a long press initiates an automatic scan for radio stations.
- Next Song Button: Navigates to the next track in the current playback mode.
- LINE IN Port: A 3.5mm auxiliary audio input jack for connecting external audio sources via a cable.
- LED CHARGE STATUS Indicator: An LED light that indicates the charging status. It glows red when the unit is charging and turns green when the battery is fully charged.
- DC 9V Input: The primary charging port where the included power adaptor connects to charge the speaker's internal battery.
Basic Operation
- Powering On/Off: Press and hold the POWER/INPUT button for approximately 2 seconds to turn the unit on. To turn it off, press and hold the same button for about 2 seconds.
- Playback Control: Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to pause or resume playback.
- Volume and EQ Adjustment: Use the Volume/EQ dial to adjust music volume. Press the dial to access EQ settings.
- Track Navigation: Use the PREVIOUS/NEXT buttons to go to the previous or next song.
Mode Selection
After powering on, press the POWER/INPUT button to cycle through the available modes: BT (Bluetooth), LINE (Auxiliary), FM (Radio), USB, or microSD.
FM Operation
To use FM radio, switch to FM mode using the POWER/INPUT button. Press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE button to scan for stations. Use the PREVIOUS or NEXT buttons to select a station.
Bluetooth Connectivity
To connect via Bluetooth, select Bluetooth mode using the POWER/INPUT button. On your smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled device, go to Bluetooth settings and select "XS-N319" to connect.
Auxiliary (LINE IN) Mode
Connect one end of a 3.5mm auxiliary cable to the LINE IN port on the speaker and the other end to your audio device (e.g., MP3 player). Select 'LINE' mode using the POWER/INPUT button. Control playback from your connected device.
USB/microSD Mode
Insert a USB drive or microSD card into the respective port. Select 'USB' or 'TF' mode using the POWER/INPUT button. The maximum supported device size is 32GB.
File Formats
Supported file formats include MP3, WAV, and WMA.
Microphone Input
A wireless microphone is included and connects automatically. Two additional microphone inputs (MIC1, MIC2) are available for wired microphones.
Charging the Speaker
The speaker has a built-in rechargeable battery. A battery icon on the LED display indicates the charge level. To charge:
- Connect the adaptor cable to the DC 9V Charging Input port.
- Plug the adaptor into a mains outlet and turn it on. The charging indicator light will be red while charging and turn green when fully charged. Remove the adaptor cable after charging and avoid overcharging.
App Control
The 'Speaker Pro' app, available for iOS and Android, allows control of music playback, speaker lighting, equalizer settings, and more via Bluetooth connection.
