Safety Warnings
- Read all instructions carefully before use and keep for future reference.
- Retain the manual. Include it if passing the unit to a third party.
Damage
- Inspect the unit for damage after unpacking.
- Do not operate if in doubt about its working condition or if damaged; switch off and consult your dealer.
Location of Unit
- Place on a flat, stable surface, away from vibrations.
- Do not place on sloped or unstable surfaces to prevent tipping.
- Avoid placing near table edges, as vibrations during high volume listening may cause it to fall.
Temperature
- Avoid extreme temperatures (hot or cold). Keep away from heat sources like radiators or gas/electric fires.
- Avoid direct sunlight and other heat sources.
Naked Flames
- Never place candles or naked flames on or near the unit.
Moisture
- Do not submerge the unit in water, as it can cause serious damage.
Ventilation
- To prevent electric shock or fire hazard from overheating, ensure curtains and other materials do not obstruct ventilation vents.
- Do not install or place in bookcases, built-in cabinets, or confined spaces. Ensure the unit is well-ventilated.
Interference
- Do not place the unit on or near appliances that may cause electromagnetic interference, as this can affect performance and sound quality.
Service
- Do not remove screws. The unit contains no user-serviceable parts. Leave maintenance to qualified personnel.
- Do not open fixed covers, as this may expose dangerous voltages.
Built-in Battery Care
- The product is powered by a rechargeable battery that can be charged and discharged hundreds of times but will eventually wear out.
- Unplug the charger when not in use.
- Do not leave a fully charged battery connected to a charger to avoid shortening its lifetime.
- An unused, fully charged battery will lose its charge over time.
- Leaving the product in extreme temperatures (e.g., a closed car) will reduce battery capacity and lifetime.
- Keep the device in a cool, moisture-free environment (below 32°C). Battery performance is limited in temperatures below freezing.
- Fully recharge the unit after each use to maintain battery health.
- For storage longer than six months, charge the battery for an hour every six months.
Battery warning! The battery used in this product may present a risk of fire or chemical burn if mistreated.
- Do not attempt to open or replace the battery; it is built-in and not changeable. Using other batteries may pose a risk of fire or explosion and will terminate the warranty.
- Only recharge with the provided approved charger or USB cable.
- Dispose of batteries according to local regulations; recycle when possible. Do not dispose of in household waste or fire, as they may explode.
- Batteries may explode if damaged.
Maintenance
- Ensure all cables are removed from the unit before cleaning.
- Wipe the case with a slightly moist, lint-free cloth.
- Do not use cleaning fluids containing alcohol, ammonia, or abrasives.
- Do not spray aerosol near the unit.
Unpacking
Remove all items from packaging. Retain packaging or dispose of it according to local regulations.

- 2. Micro-USB Socket: Connect to a computer, etc., with the supplied micro-USB cable to charge the unit.
- 3. RESET Button: Press to reset the unit.
- 4. AUX Socket: Connect a music player, etc., using the supplied Stereo Audio Cable.
Open the jack cover at the right side of the unit to access the connector panel.
Top View
- 1. +/- Button: Press to adjust volume. Press to reject an incoming call in Bluetooth® mode.
- 2. Button: Press and hold to activate pairing mode or disconnect a Bluetooth® device. Press to play/pause/resume playback in Bluetooth® mode. Press to mute/unmute in AUX mode. Control call functions in Phone Calls mode.
- 3. Button: Press to switch the unit On. Press and hold to switch the unit Off. Battery Charging Indicator.
Important Information about Water Resistant Operation
For proper water-resistant operation, ensure the plastic jack cover is completely flush with the unit. Press along the entire edge until it is securely in place.
The unit is splash-proof rated. DO NOT immerse the unit in water, as it may cause product failure.
- Ensure the jack cover and surrounding surfaces are dry before opening to prevent moisture damage.
- Keep the jack cover free of dirt, sand, or other objects that can interfere with sealing. If the cover does not form a tight waterproof seal, water may enter the unit.
- DO NOT clean the unit with oily soaps, chemicals, or solvents. Clean with a damp cloth.
Charging the Speaker
The unit has a built-in rechargeable battery that should be charged before first use. The battery charges automatically when connected to a computer or USB charging device.
Charging Process:
- Open the jack cover of the speaker.
- Connect the supplied micro-USB cable to the speaker and then to a computer.
- The power button light will flash during charging and turn off automatically when fully charged.
Important Notes on Charging:
- Use only the supplied micro-USB cable and connect directly to a computer. Indirect connections (e.g., via a USB hub) may prevent proper charging.
- If the unit has not been used for a long time, the power button light may not illuminate when connecting the charger. Do not disconnect the cable; wait until the light illuminates.
- Charging time varies based on battery usage and the charging device's output voltage.
- The unit may become warm during charging; this is normal.
Battery Life
When using a Bluetooth® connection, the speaker provides approximately 7 hours of playback time on a full charge at medium sound level. Actual playback time may vary depending on ambient temperature and usage conditions.
When the Battery is Almost Empty
The speaker will announce "Low battery," and the power button light will flash. The speaker will turn off automatically when the battery is empty.
Connection
Using the AUX Connection
Use the supplied 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo audio cable to connect the headphone socket of an audio device to the AUX socket of the unit. The unit will automatically switch to AUX mode, and you will hear a confirmation message. Disconnect the audio cable to enable Bluetooth® mode.
General Operation
Powering ON/OFF
- Press the Button to switch on the unit. A greeting message will be heard.
- Press and hold the Button to switch off the unit.
Automatic Power Off Function
The speaker will turn off automatically if left in any of the following conditions for more than approximately 15 minutes:
- No Bluetooth® connection established between the unit and the external mobile device.
- The battery becomes empty.
Adjusting the Volume
During playback, press the +/- buttons to increase or decrease the volume. The unit beeps when the highest volume level is reached in Bluetooth® mode.
Bluetooth® Operation
Switch on the speaker. The unit will automatically find and connect to the last paired Bluetooth® device. If no paired device is found, the speaker will enter Bluetooth® pairing mode automatically, indicated by a rapidly flashing light. Follow these steps to pair with a Bluetooth® device:
- Activate Bluetooth® mode on your mobile device and select the search mode. "SP-AD50-M" will appear in your device list.
- Select "SP-AD50-M" and enter "0000" as the password if required. A successful connection will be indicated by a steady light and a "Connected" voice prompt.
- To disconnect the Bluetooth® function, press and hold the Button to disable it from your Bluetooth® device. The device will disconnect after a "Waiting for connection" voice prompt.
- Connecting the stereo audio cable disables Bluetooth® mode.
- Enjoy wireless music from smartphones, mobile phones, or music players. You can also make or receive calls using the unit.
- The operational range is approximately 10 meters. Obstacles can reduce this range.
- Ensure you know your Bluetooth® device's capabilities before connecting.
- Compatibility with all Bluetooth® devices is not guaranteed.
- Keep the player away from other electronic devices that may cause interference.
- The player may disconnect if your device moves beyond the operational range.
NFC (Near Field Communication) Operation
Pair your NFC-enabled mobile device directly with this unit by a single tap.
- Activate NFC on your mobile device.
- Hold your mobile device within 1.5 cm of the NFC icon on the unit. The device will vibrate or display a message.
- To disconnect, hold the mobile device near the NFC icon to disconnect or disable NFC.
Listening to Music
Bluetooth® Mode
Enjoy music and basic remote control operation of a Bluetooth® device via a Bluetooth® connection. The device must support the following Bluetooth® profiles:
- A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile): For high-quality wireless audio.
- AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile): For controlling playback. Press the Button once to pause/resume playback. Press +/- to adjust volume.
AUX Mode
When connected via the AUX socket, the output from the connected device has priority. You will not hear sound from the Bluetooth® device. The Button light will switch off, and the unit will announce "AUX music". Absence of sound from the Bluetooth® device does not indicate a system issue. Press the Button to mute or resume sound during playback.
Hands-free Calling
Enjoy hands-free calls with a Bluetooth® smartphone or mobile phone supporting the HFP (Hands-free Profile) or HSP (Headset Profile) via a Bluetooth® connection. Call functions are only applicable if the mobile phone is paired and connected, and both devices are switched on.
Functionality may vary depending on the Bluetooth® profile supported by your smartphone or mobile phone. Refer to your device's manual for specifics.
Making a Call
- Activate Bluetooth® mode on your mobile device.
- Use your mobile device's buttons to make a call.
If the caller has difficulty hearing you, press the +/- button to adjust the volume or speak closer to the speaker's microphone.
Redial
Press the Button twice rapidly to redial the last call.
End Call
Press the Button on the speaker to hang up. You can also end the call from your phone.
Receiving a Call
When an incoming call arrives, a ring tone will be heard through the speaker. Press the Button on the speaker to answer. The built-in microphone allows conversation with the caller.
Reject an Incoming Call
Press the +/- button once on the speaker to reject an incoming call.
