INTRODUCTION Scope
The Disave volumetric touch pad has been designed to help the barista maintain quality control of shots during a busy day, by displaying the extraction time of the last shot made. This is reinforced by a simple GREEN and RED coloring on the display to let the barista know the last drink was made either within tolerance, GREEN, or outside of tolerance, RED.

8Secs
Insert the porta-filter with the coffee into the group head, select the desired button you wish to program (Buttons 1-4).
Measure out the desired shot volume (ideally with a suitable scale) and then press the same button to stop and set the new volume. The shot time recorded during the volumetric setting for each button is memorized and becomes the new ideal time +/- the buffer value. Repeat the process to program Buttons 1-4 as needed.
Once a button has had a new volume set, the orange light for that button will go out as a reference point to know you have programmed it. A new volume and time can be recorded over a previously set button by following the above steps, even if the orange light has gone out.
Important: Use a porta-filter filled with fresh espresso grounds for every new shot that is programmed.
Example:
Programming Button 2 for 25mls with a total extraction time of 33 seconds with a buffer of +/- 3 seconds, will set the shot alarm to show a GREEN time, if the extraction is made between 30-36 seconds. A shot made less or more of this time will show RED.
