FROG support FAQ
Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.
-
Do I need to drain my hot tub when switching to the FROG @ease System?
If you were previously using bromine, you must drain and refill your hot tub before using FROG @ease. If you were using dichlor, you can convert to the FROG @ease System without draining as long as the cyanuric acid level is below 80 ppm.
-
How often should I replace the FROG Mineral Cartridge?
The FROG Mineral Cartridge needs to be replaced every four months, or whenever you drain and refill your hot tub. You must discard it after 4 months even if you can still hear spent media inside.
-
Why does my test strip show high total chlorine but low free chlorine?
Conventional test strips inaccurately measure the self-regulating SmartChlor reserve as total chlorine. You must use the specific FROG @ease Test Strips included with your system to properly check your levels.
-
What should I do if the chlorine level is too high?
Remove the FROG system from the pool or spa until the chlorine level drops to 1.0 ppm. Lower the dial setting on the cartridge by one number, place it back into the water, and re-test in 24 hours.
