1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Rolipo Handheld Steam Cleaner. This manual provides important information for the safe and effective operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your device. Please read this manual thoroughly before first use and keep it for future reference.

1.1 Safety Instructions

  • Always ensure the safety cap is securely closed before operating.
  • Do not open the safety cap while the unit is pressurized or hot. Allow the unit to cool down completely before refilling water.
  • Keep the steam cleaner out of reach of children and pets.
  • Do not direct steam at people, animals, or electrical appliances.
  • Use only clean tap water. Do not add detergents, perfumes, or other chemicals to the water tank.
  • Always unplug the device from the power outlet before cleaning or maintenance.
  • Do not immerse the steam cleaner in water or other liquids.
  • Inspect the power cord and plug for damage before each use. Do not use if damaged.

3. Setup and Preparation

  1. Unpack the Device: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Fill the Water Tank:
    • Ensure the steam cleaner is unplugged and cool.
    • Unscrew the safety cap counter-clockwise.
    • Using the provided measuring cup and funnel, fill the water tank with up to 280 ml of clean tap water. Do not overfill the 440 ml tank capacity.
    • Screw the safety cap back on clockwise until it is securely tightened.
  3. Attach Accessories: Select the appropriate accessory for your cleaning task and firmly attach it to the main steam unit's nozzle. Ensure it clicks into place or is securely twisted on.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 First Use

  1. After filling the water tank and attaching an accessory, plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  2. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the device is heating up. The steam cleaner will heat up in approximately 3 minutes.
  3. Once the indicator light turns off (or changes color, depending on model), the device is ready for use.
  4. Press the steam trigger to release steam. For initial use, direct the first few bursts of steam into a sink or cloth to remove any condensation.

4.2 General Operation

  • Hold the steam cleaner firmly and direct the steam nozzle towards the surface to be cleaned.
  • Move the nozzle slowly over the surface to allow the hot steam to penetrate and loosen dirt.
  • Wipe away loosened dirt with a clean cloth immediately after steaming.
  • The device provides 8 to 12 minutes of continuous steam on a full tank (280 ml recommended fill).

4.3 Using Specific Accessories

  • Flexible Extension Hose: Use for reaching difficult areas, such as inside ovens or behind toilets.
  • Curved Spray Nozzle: Ideal for cleaning corners, edges, and grout lines.
  • Round Brushes (Nylon/Brass): Attach to the nozzle for scrubbing stubborn dirt. Nylon brushes are for general surfaces, brass brushes for very tough, non-scratchable surfaces like BBQ grills.
  • Textile Steamer Tool: Use with the microfiber cloth for refreshing fabrics, upholstery, and curtains.
  • Window/Door Squeegee Tool: Attach for streak-free cleaning of windows, mirrors, and smooth surfaces.

5. Maintenance and Care

5.1 Cleaning the Unit

  • Always unplug the steam cleaner and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Empty any remaining water from the tank after each use.

5.2 Descaling (if necessary)

Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the water tank, especially in areas with hard water. To descale:

  1. Ensure the unit is cool and unplugged.
  2. Mix a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water.
  3. Pour the solution into the water tank (do not exceed the max fill line).
  4. Allow the solution to sit in the tank for several hours or overnight.
  5. Empty the tank and rinse thoroughly with fresh water several times to remove all vinegar residue.
  6. Run a tank of clean water through the unit (directing steam into a sink) before using it for cleaning surfaces again.

5.3 Accessory Care

  • Clean accessories with warm, soapy water after each use.
  • Allow all accessories to dry completely before storing.
  • The microfiber cloth can be hand washed or machine washed according to fabric care instructions.

6. Troubleshooting
