4. Assembly Instructions
Your Heybike YM1 Electric Bike comes 90% pre-assembled. The final assembly process is straightforward and typically involves attaching the front wheel, handlebars, pedals, and seat.
Required Tools:
- Multi-tool (often included)
- Hex wrenches
- Open-end wrenches
Assembly Steps:
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the bike and all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for potential returns or future transport.
- Handlebar Installation: Attach the handlebars to the stem, ensuring they are centered and tightened securely. Adjust the angle for comfort.
- Front Wheel Installation: Install the front wheel, ensuring the disc brake rotor is correctly seated within the caliper. Secure the wheel with the quick-release skewer or axle nuts.
- Pedal Installation: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. The left pedal tightens counter-clockwise, and the right pedal tightens clockwise. Apply a small amount of grease to the threads before installation.

5. Battery Management

Charging the Battery:
- Charging Time: A full charge typically takes 5-6 hours.
- Charger: Use only the original charger provided by Heybike.
