Installation Guide

1. Choosing an Installation Location

Select a location that is:

• Well-ventilated and open to the air.
• At least 20 inches (50 cm) away from any walls or obstructions to allow for proper airflow.
• On a solid, level surface capable of supporting the unit's weight (approximately 225 lbs / 102 kg).
• Close to the pool's filtration system for easy plumbing connections.

2. Plumbing Connections

Connect the heat pump to your pool's filtration system. Water should flow from the pool pump, through the filter, then to the heat pump, and finally back to the pool. Use appropriate PVC plumbing fittings and hose adapters (1.25" & 1.5" hose adapters, 4560 Pool Hose Conversion Adapters Kit, 1.5" PVC Plumbing Fittings are included) to ensure a watertight connection.

3. Electrical Connections

WARNING: Electrical work must be performed by a qualified electrician.

1. Ensure the main power supply to the pool equipment is turned off at the circuit breaker.
2. Connect the power cord to the designated terminals inside the heat pump's electrical compartment. Refer to the wiring diagram inside the unit's access panel.
3. Connect the power cord of the water pump to the heat pump's terminal (L1, L2, P1, P2) to enable synchronized operation. This allows the pool pump to start and stop with the heat pump.
4. Verify all connections are secure and properly insulated.
