Troubleshooting

No Display Output / Flickering Screen:

  • Check USB-C Port: Ensure your laptop's USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode. Refer to your laptop's specifications or the "Verify Laptop USB-C Port Compatibility" section.
  • Cable Connection: Verify all HDMI/DP cables are securely connected to both the docking station and the monitors.
  • Resolution Settings: Adjust the display resolution and refresh rate in your operating system's display settings. Higher resolutions or refresh rates may require specific cable types or may not be supported by all monitors.
  • Power Supply: Ensure the docking station is receiving adequate power, especially when connecting multiple displays or power-hungry devices. Connect your laptop's power adapter to the dock's PD port.
  • Driver Updates: Ensure your laptop's graphics drivers and USB-C drivers are up to date.

Laptop Not Charging:

  • PD Port Connection: Confirm your laptop's power adapter is connected to the docking station's USB-C PD input port.
  • Power Adapter Wattage: Ensure your power adapter provides sufficient wattage (e.g., 100W) for both the docking station and your laptop. The dock consumes 15W, so an 85W laptop requires at least a 100W adapter.
  • Laptop USB-C Port: Verify your laptop's USB-C port supports Power Delivery.

USB Devices Not Recognized:

  • Reconnect: Disconnect and reconnect the USB device.
  • Try Different Port: Test the device in another USB port on the docking station or directly on your laptop.
  • Power: Ensure the docking station is powered, as some USB devices require more power.

Ethernet Connection Issues:

  • Cable Check: Ensure the Ethernet cable is securely connected to both the docking station and your router/modem.
  • Network Settings: Check your laptop's network settings to ensure the Ethernet adapter is enabled and configured correctly.
  • Router/Modem: Restart your router or modem.
