1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the TecTake Aidan Electric Fireplace. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your new electric fireplace. Please read all instructions carefully before use and retain this manual for future reference.

The TecTake Aidan electric fireplace offers a cozy ambiance with a realistic 3D flame effect and imitation wood. It features two adjustable heat levels (900W and 1800W), precise temperature control between 15°C and 35°C, and customizable flame effects. Its plug-and-play design ensures minimal setup effort.

2. Safety Instructions

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow these basic precautions.

  • Read all instructions before using this heater.
  • This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces.
  • Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 1 meter (3 feet) from the front of the heater.
  • Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
  • Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
  • Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  • To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet.
  • Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
  • To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  • This heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable vapors or liquids are used or stored.
  • Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
  • This appliance is equipped with an open window sensor and an overheating protection system. If the unit detects a sudden drop in room temperature (e.g., open window) or overheats, it will automatically shut off.

4. Setup and Installation

The TecTake Aidan Electric Fireplace is designed for easy setup. No complex installation is required.

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the fireplace from its packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
  2. Placement: Place the fireplace on a stable, level surface. Ensure there is at least 1 meter (3 feet) clearance from combustible materials (curtains, furniture, etc.) to the front and sides of the unit. Do not block the air intake or exhaust vents.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard 220-240V electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is easily accessible. The cable length is approximately 160 cm.
  4. Remote Control Battery: The remote control requires a CR2025 battery (not included). Insert the battery according to the polarity markings inside the remote's battery compartment.

5. Operating Instructions

The fireplace can be operated using the integrated touch panel, the included remote control, or a mobile application.

5.1 Power On/Off

  • Press the Power button on the touch panel or remote control to turn the unit on or off.

5.2 Adjusting Heat Settings

  • The fireplace offers two heat levels: 900W and 1800W.
  • Use the Heat Level button on the control panel or remote to cycle between the two power settings.
  • The integrated thermostat allows for temperature adjustment between 15°C and 35°C. Use the Temperature Up/Down buttons to set your desired room temperature. The unit will automatically maintain this temperature.

5.3 Customizing Flame Effects

The realistic 3D flame effect can be customized to your preference.

  • Flame Colors: Choose from 8 different flame colors.
  • Ember Colors: Select from 6 ember bed colors.
  • Brightness: Adjust the flame brightness with 5 levels.
  • Flicker Speed: Set the flicker speed to one of 4 options.
  • Use the dedicated Flame Effect buttons on the remote control or app to cycle through these options.

5.4 Timer Function

  • The fireplace features a programmable weekly timer. Refer to the specific instructions in the mobile app or detailed remote control section for setting up schedules.

  • Download the compatible mobile application (e.g., Tuya Smart app) from your device's app store.
  • Follow the in-app instructions to pair your fireplace with your mobile device.

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your electric fireplace.

  • Cleaning: Always unplug the fireplace before cleaning. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or sprays.
  • Glass Panels: Clean glass panels with a glass cleaner and a soft cloth. Do not scratch the surface.
  • Vents: Ensure the air intake and exhaust vents are free from dust and debris. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to gently clean the vents periodically.
  • Storage: If storing the fireplace for an extended period, unplug it and store it in a dry, dust-free location.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your electric fireplace, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Power:
    • Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
    • Check the circuit breaker or fuse box.
    • Verify the power button on the unit or remote is pressed.
  • No Heat:
    • Ensure the heat function is activated and set to the desired temperature.
    • Check if the room temperature is already above the set temperature.
    • The overheating protection or open window sensor may have activated. Unplug the unit, wait 10-15 minutes, and plug it back in. Ensure no windows are open near the unit.
  • Flame Effect Not Working:
    • Ensure the unit is powered on.
    • Check if the flame effect setting is turned off or set to minimum brightness.
  • Remote Control Not Working:
    • Replace the CR2025 battery in the remote control.
    • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the fireplace.
