3. Assembly
The Supstable S5 Combo offers six different configurations. Follow these general steps for assembly, referring to the specific attachment instructions for detailed guidance.
General Assembly Steps:
- Battery Installation: Ensure the battery is fully charged. Align the battery pack with the tool's battery slot and slide it in until it clicks securely into place.
- Attachment Connection: For pole configurations, connect the desired cutting head (mini chainsaw, hedge trimmer, or grass shear) to the telescopic pole. Ensure the connection is firm and locked.
- Shoulder Strap: Attach the shoulder strap to the designated points on the telescopic pole for comfortable and balanced operation, especially during extended use.
- Chain/Blade Installation (Mini Chainsaw): Refer to the mini chainsaw specific instructions for proper chain installation and tensioning. Ensure the chain is lubricated before first use.
Adjustable Cutting Angle:
The cutting head pivots 180° with 5 locking positions, allowing for precise cutting angles. Adjust the angle by pressing the release button and rotating the head to the desired position until it locks.

4. Operation

4.1. Pole Saw Operation
Attach the mini chainsaw head to the telescopic pole. Extend the pole to the desired length (up to 15 ft reach for a 6 ft user). Use the shoulder strap for balance. Position the saw blade against the branch and engage the power. Allow the saw to cut through the branch without forcing it. The 180° adjustable head helps in reaching awkward angles.

4.2. Pole Hedge Trimmer Operation

4.3. Mini Chainsaw Operation
For handheld use, detach the mini chainsaw from the pole. Ensure the chain is properly tensioned and lubricated. Hold the chainsaw firmly with both hands. For cutting logs up to 6 inches thick, allow the saw to do the work. Do not apply excessive pressure. Be mindful of kickback.

4.4. Handheld Hedge Trimmer Operation
Detach the hedge trimmer from the pole for close-up shaping. Hold the tool comfortably and guide the blades along the desired cutting line. The 12-inch dual-action blades are designed for precise shaping of 3/4 inch branches.
4.5. Grass Shears Operation
Attach the grass cutter blade for trimming grass and light weeds. This can be used handheld or with the telescopic pole for ground-level trimming without bending. Move the shears steadily over the grass for a clean cut.
